Mango Money Review

Master Card’s Mango money prepaid card is a great card with a money saving focus. A Mango Money savings account boasts high APY, as much as 6% which is, as they say, “45% higher than the industry average.” The best interest rates are reserved for those who set up direct deposit, if you don’t, you can still get a 2% APY which is still pretty high. If saving money is your goal this is a great card to consider.

There are no sign up fees, no customer support fees and no overdraft fees. There is a $3.00 monthly subscription fee but it can be waived if you have $500 deposit each month. There is a $1 fee when you check your balance at ATMs but it is free to look up online or on Mango’s handy mobile app. There is a $2 ATM withdrawal fee if you need cash off the card.

Verdict – Great

Mango is another great choice for prepaid debit cards, especially for saving money. It is also a great low fee option.

I have had a Mango prepaid card for about 6 months now and it is a very good card. It's great for everyone even if you have bad credit. You can make free deposits onto your card and your money is insured by the FDIC for up to $250,000, which gives great peace of mind. The only down side is the monthly charge of $3 and if you need to withdraw from an ATM it is $2, which is only a small amount but it can add up.

I didn't really want to get a credit card and I have never had one, so my partner recommended I try a prepaid card. It is a great alternative to a credit card and it is great as you know you can never go over your limit. One complaint is there are too many fees, the monthly fee and withdrawl fees etc. That said I would still choose prepaid over a normal credit card and these are a great option for people who don't have many options.
