Can't make or receive calls, data is spotty
I ported number to Hello Mobile because it runs on Tmobile network and it's more economic on Unlimited Data Plan with international calls. Now I am unable to make calls and data is spotty with very unreliable speeds. I am using Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Unlocked (work with all USA as well as international carriers). Their Chat support is on FB messenger! I deleted my FB account few years ago. So I am stuck with their support one phone number for support!
Not sure why or how such a service/non-service is still standing.
COMPLETELY incomptent customer service!!
I have been a customer for approximately 1 maybe 1 and a half years and truthfully, never had much of a need to contact customer service until today. I had recently upgraded my account to 2 lines and gave the new sim to a good friend, thinking she would benefit from it. She never used it after about 2 weeks of activation, so I contacted Hello Mobile to 1) Accept my full payment to cover both lines for the current billing period , and 2) Cancel the new line and sim at the end the current billing period so i would not be billed for something I wasn't going to use. Seems simple , right?
WRONG!! The idiot rep Victoria cancelled my main phone number I have had since I had been with them (This is an irreversible action) and provided ZERO options to rectify her completely incompetent mistake!! Because of that, I no longer have the ability to use the phone number which as you can imagine, has caused MANY new headaches for me!! I have been a loyal customer and referred people to them but because of this, Im gone!! I IMMEDIATELY cancelled my entire account, and there was NO apology, explanation, NOTHING! I have the COMPLETE transcript available if I need to provide proof of their incomptenece. Thanks for NOTHING Hello Mobile!!!! You guys SUCK!!!!!!
let's be honest, I sign up with this HELLO MOBILE only because they are cheap to maintain, I don't need good wifi coverage whatsoever because I live at work in the city and everywhere I go I'm hooked with the local wifi, really I just needed a phone number so people can find me, that's all... I even have my parents transfer their numbers to this company for the same very reason, and everything has played along well up until my last bill payment, out of nowhere the website gave me a message as below when I tried to pay for mine and my parents' bills using the very same credit card ( been doing that since day one for easy management )
OUR RECORDS SHOW THAT THIS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN USED BY ANOTHER CUSTOMER. NO FURTHER CHANGES CAN BE MADE WITH THIS CARD. TO MAKE YOUR PURCHASE, YOU MUST USE ANOTHER BANK ACCOUNT OR CREDIT CARD.
long story short, I can no longer pay my bill with my credit card, how does it sound to you? any normal person would find it strange right? and so I got on the live chat on their website with someone or something ( i don't really know what/who I was talking to at the time ), and the only suggestion I got is to use another credit card or use any gift visa card to pay, and was never explained why this is happening, if that doesn't sound ridiculous I really don't know what does.
have emailed customer service, waited almost 7 days when I was promised by the automated reply machine that I would get a response in 48 hours, still no solution until the today
for anyone whos reading this, I will make it simple for you, stay away from hello mobile, I assure you, you will have one less stupid problem to deal with in this crazy world, period
I am a long term customer. the price and service was outstanding. So I added another line and also added my relatives too.
Worst technical / customer service
My mobile hot spot is not working. I upgraded my plan from $25 to $40 per month. One support agent said that it will be activated after one week. After one week, I called them, spoke to at least 12 (twelve) agents and chatted with at least three, but nobody was able to help. Worst case, there are agents who are dropping the call despite being nice during the call. One agent even said that "WE ARE NOT OFFERING HOT SPOT SERVICES". Every agent asks the same question over and over again and said that they will callback but nobody did. All my devices are working well for sure. I decided to revert to my former provider. I hope their management will pay attention to the etiquette and improve their processes. All agents did the same troubleshooting steps despite the history is traceable to my previous calls and chats, and I emphasized that those were already done. Waste of time. It is the worst mobile service I had ever experienced. I used to work as a technical support specialist in a laptop company and we never treated our customers just like how Hello Mobile agents did.
this is one of the best low cost plans
I paid the first month, on a friday, I recieved the sim card kit on a sunday, put the sim card into the phone I am going to use in 5 minutes I was on network with hello mobile and getting 5G just fine. this is the second time i have been with hello. both times i have had nothing but good service so we will see what happens this time. Maybe because i have an android phone?
Hello mobile is fantastic
I am happy to say I am returning to hello mobile after not being with them for over a year if more people knew about hello mobile it could spell disaster for cell phone providers everywhere
I couldn't even get the plan set up I do not recom
I couldn't get connected to service because it lied to me and said I got coverage in my zip code
Wow.how unreal unlimited..
18 GB it's call unlimited....
bad bad no one should even try to use them
they charged my card 8 times and they didn't want to give me back my money
