Is PureTalk phone service any good?
Data is slow, poor signal
Get a poor signal in areas where there should be signal. Data also seems painfully slow - I can't seem to stream songs on Spotify often. Not a good experience.
super long hold times, and lots of confusion
I had high hopes after my first two sales calls - then everything fell apart. I guess that is why I will go back to my old company and pay double - I thought I would have better support and Verizon is so ughh - but I was without a phone for a week and now I have a Pure Talk SIM card in my old broken phone and sent back my new phone and it has been over a week and a half and I haven't heard back - I called and now I have been on hold for 30 mins so far! maybe you would be ok with a new phon…e and new service but porting has been difficult and wifi calling isn't guaranteed on an android according to their tech support. I wish things were better - the company is in GA and owned American with American employees! I am trying to make this work but it isn't! just got transferred - now on phone for 40 mins and holding! Unfortunately I just cancelled my service. So sorry as I wanted to support a Vet.
Cheap and simply had same level of connection.
The fact that it's easier to get a hold of a human is a notable plus for now.
Great value, customer support
This is the best value for me! Their customer service is very responsive and quick. My representantive listened to my concerns and helped me every step of the way!
Service is equal to ATT or Verizon
Everything as expected.
No customer service
Started service last week and still have not been able to text or get on internet. Every time I call they send me to customer (who will not answer) service for 45min and then automatically transfer me back to the main directory.
Massive delays in texts
It takes way too long to send a text! The text could have been time sensitive! PureTalk only seems to offer older phone models too. Do not go with PureTalk!
Affordable rates
PureTalk's affordable rates got me switching to the service! The phone service is reliable but it could be improved. For now though I'm supporting PureTalk!
Customer service
PureTalk is okay but that's all I can really say about the company. While their customer service was better than Verizon, the value just isn't there for me. It's hard to maintain a signal in my area. I might try another carrier or I may just go back to Verizon.
$120 flip one quit working in 2 months.
$120 flip phone quit working after 2 months. Blank screen even though had been fullycharged. Requested refund and empty promises were given of return calls and checking with higher ups for approval. Long wait times when calling. Some people friendly and others extremely rude. Tried porting the number to another cell phone company for 6 days. Involved in a 3 way call with both phone companies for 1 hour 13 min. All information by requesting new cell company was entered correctly but never able to… port number. They refuse to give a refund and do not back their products. Have switched to a more reliable company that cost a little more.
Wide coverage
We're very happy with the service we received with Puretalk! Even in our rural area we're able to get signal when before connection was pretty spotty. So glad for the switch to Pure!
Inexpensive
We swapped to Pure Talk after dealing with Verizon's BS for years. So far we've been happy with our decision. Reception is similar to Verizon's but the bill has been much, much lower! PureTalk went above and beyond all of my expectations.
Customer service
Can't get an issue resolved with customer service, despite contacting representatives many times. I'm unable to use voicemail and we can't receive any phone calls. Already thinking about switching back to AT&T.
Coverage anywhere, cheap
I switched to PureTalk a little over a month ago and so far the service has been great! It has AT&T's network so I'm able to get coverage just about anywhere but I get it for a much cheaper rate!
Affordable pricing
I get poor service in my area.... have to go to other locations to get reception... even then it's bad reception... AT&T never gives me these issues... but the price is good... going to keep using PureTalk...
Bad customer agents
THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO FRUSTRATING! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS!
Poor cell reception
PureTalk service has been nothing but a giant headache. The signal strength is pretty bad half the time. I can't receive calls during those times. There's also a delay (up to one hour!) in getting text messages.
Customer Service Activation
Called a Spanish speaking young lady. Asked about plans and the plan I wanted to enroll in to include service card to call Mexico $10 included in monthly bill. Total $56.20 per month. Asked for credit info a charge of $31 to send Sim card and it would be here today 7/20/20. Nothing. Called to see the status. No one knows or have any record of transaction. No E-mail confirmation either like she said we'd receive. What kind of crap operations are you running over at pure talk?
Service
We had our service with Pure Talk for over two years. When we had a dispute with them we decided to change our service. It has been three days since we first tried to get our phone numbers switched to our new carrier. Our new carrier, Cellular One, has been most helpful, but Pure Talk keeps delaying the switch. Every time I talk to them they change the porting date. Last evening we were told that the number would be released at 10:30 P.M. Wrong again! This morning they are telling me that their …porting department is closed and it will be two more days before the switch will be made. I am soooo glad we are getting away from this company and their terrible service!!!
