Is Spectrum Mobile phone service any good?

Coverage

I have a problem with a lot of reviews here. Many complaints are users ignorance, one said they were charged $240 a month for a $14 a moth plan, obviously he went over 1GB and were charged accordingly. Everybody should know most carriers charge a restocking fee and some carriers fail to inform the potential customers, not all carriers will accept certain phones and to complain that they don't doesn't warrant a 1 star review. People don't read the terms and some associates fails to mention it, take your time read the terms. when cancel a service you still have to pay for the phone, pleading ignorance is not a carrier's fault. Like with anything you sign one should read what they are signing and don't believe what the salesman say, many sales associates are up front, but there are always some that aren't. No I do not work for any Spectrum entities.

worst thing about Spectrum ?.almost everything

Spectrum says that you can connect to their wifi hotspots anywere there's a Spectrum wifi..well that's not true at all.. even when you connect to their wifi spots you still burn through your data.. I won't be with Spectrum for very long

Should have stuck with Verizon!

Crap customer service, nothing is as advertised! Got screwed over on the family plan and couldn’t upgrade my daughters phone because they put the cap at four phones on the plan even though when we purchased the family plan we paid for and had it set for five phones! Stay with your current carrier! Unlimited is a joke too! Dishonest as hell!

Their employees have no integrity. Deceitful

Reps will tell you anythingvto make a commmission.. quote you one price to sign you up. You question if tgat is the absolute bottom line price, which if course they say yes, then you get an email only to find out price doubled because they did not include sales tax on new phone. Poor customer service.luckily my payment was declined. God works in mysterious ways. No Comission for deceitful rep. Management is no better. Make excuses offer no compensation or customer satisfaction.. raggedy customer service. Do not believe the bs they sell you. Look elsewhere... commercials are deceiptive. Those are probably employees making commercials.

Poor service when it comes to replacement of phone

We switched from Verizon to Spectrum when we got our internet service through Spectrum. I purchased a Google Pixel 4 phone from them as I had the Google Pixel 2 and was told it didn't transfer over. Recently, we've been getting a lot of updates and my phone started acting strange. I got Google Tech Support person named Nick in chat and we did every troubleshooting imaginable including erasing, reloading, rebooting, re-updating and it became worse than when we started. He told me to contact my retailer, Spectrum, for a warranty replacement. Needless to say, I got bounced back between Spectrum, Assurant and Google multiple times in a week and a half with no result. Spectrum keeps saying that Google is responsible, but Google is saying that Spectrum needs to give me a replacement/warranty exchange since they issued the phone. I've spoken to 2 Google representatives who tell me it's Spectrum's job to replace it and 4 Spectrum agents who say it's Google's responsibility. Do not get a phone with them as they will not replace it regardless if the manufacturer tells them to! Now they are still expecting me to pay the balance of a $700 phone that isn't working like it should.

Customer Service

Too long of a story to tell here, but hours and hours of being on the phone with them, at the store, being told one thing by one person and the complete opposite from another. Having your phone account randomly deleted, then being lied to about it. So bad it's criminal. I should be credited 6 months of service to make up for the time they have wasted. Can't wait to switch.

Charges for retuning unused iphone.

Return charges, almost $60.00, for iphone returned in mint condition. I should have read reviews before signing up for mobile. My fault.

I got a bootleg LG Stylo 4!! Horrible service!!!

I was lied to from the beginning. I did not get a new phone, I got a bootleg. I have notified LG about my LG Stylo 4. Waiting to hear from them soon. I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile at all.

They won’t honor their word

If you’re considering Spectrum Mobile, take notice they will not only unconvince you by shipping your phones, but they include their shipping time in your 14 day trial!!! Even when their CSR lies and tells you that you have 14 days from activation.

no customer service

I made the mistake of buying my new Iphone from spectrum by phone. Once you buy the phone they will never, never answer any sort of call. You can wait on line for 30 minutes and they will tell you it is the wrong department. And, the local offices will not help you at all if you did not buy the phone from the store.

The service blocks text verification codes.

All was going well until I realized I wasn't getting text verification codes. I spent an hour on the phone today with 1st and 2nd level support. They couldn't help and it's now been moved to 3rd level with no agreement on how long it will take to resolve. Really really frustrating.

Charging me for Phone i dont have.

They charged me a$50 restocking fee when i sent phone back. Now they charged my bank card $12.62 more for a phone i dont even have.Ripoff.NOphone no service. I am a senior on ssi .

Price and service

Basically if you don’t already have a phone it’s a gamble buying one out right from somewhere other than spectrum because you just don’t know if they’ll allow it. The didn’t support my LGv30 but they do support my old iPhone. Most phone carriers have a readily available list of the phones that work on their network. Note, that Spectrum, though it uses Verizon’s network only supports about a third of the phones Verizon supports.

Was told lies, once I signed on they over charged me, tried "crediting me, saving me money" when really they aren't because I was lied to about their plans. This is absolutely piss poor service.

Customer Service

Very difficult with assistance to switch from Verizon mobile & setup to Spectrum Mobile. I am not computer savvy & was assured a local Spectrum store would perform the setup. The storefront rep was taken aback that he had to assist me. He did not complete the set up as he indicated I would have to be near my home router to transfer data. I called Spectrum Mobile customer service & they stumbled over assisting me. One customer service rep had almost completed the transfer & we were disconnected. After 3 customer service reps, my cell is finally online. I never had to go through any of the above with Verizon. They completely set up & transferred all data from my previous cell to their new cell all physically in the store without any difficulty. I will test out Spectrum cell for a few months & return to Verizon if need be.

Tengo el servicio de móvil y de internet he tenido problemas con ellos casi desde el principio y no han podido solucionarlo en estos momentos tengo casi dos meses sin señal de internet pero el cobro me llega completo nadie ha venido a mi casa a verificarlo todos lo quieren arreglar vía telefónica lo único que te dicen eso desconecte el aparato resetear apáguelo y vuélvalo encender o si no te mienten y me y me dicen su problema está resuelto lo acabamos de conectar a la antena más poderosa de su área Pero todo es mentira yo sigo pagando por algo que no me están dando sí soporte técnico y servicio al cliente me pueden solucionar este problema díganme ustedes dónde puedo ir
