Spectrum Mobile reviews: Read 1,422 customer service ratings

Was good in the beginning but after awhile as mentioned here on the bad ratings, calls drop and customer service is a waste of time because they won’t help solve anything. Seems to be the same guy over and over I deal with each time I called! Still nothing resolved yet! Either they really don’t care or really don’t even know what they’re doing!

Great price, same devices and good deals on them, uses the Verizon network.

I just switched and I am more regretful than impressed. The cellular service is no better than their internet. I was hoping that wouldn’t be the case.

These people are so uncaring its not even funny all they want is money and that's it!!!!! I did hear that they were okay and cheap yea you know the saying you get what you pay for period DONT GET THIS SERVICE.....I bought a phone and the first day I had it I had nothing but problems and called 3 or 4 times before the 14 days and I work a job that I need my phone it's my money maker I'm always on it calling customers and what not...I dropped a bunch of calls not receiving phone cal…ls or text or voice-mails do not get any phone from them they are all cheap and pos service after all that they are making me pay for a thousand for a phone I had to shut off and get at&t if you want good service go to att I love the service and phone and it's the SAME PHONE so people please do not go with this service at all it's horrible and all they want is your moneyShow more

I have had them for 5 months I don’t get calls or text messages. I have to sit in a certain area in my house to get any service or phone calls. It’s actually hurting my relationship bc he thinks I’m ignoring him. When I didn’t even get the call

In-store customer service is terrible me and my whole family and I would encourage everybody else to go to another carrier like T-Mobile.

Left Verizon because we live in an area that doesn’t have full coverage and my husband needs that for work… our bill kept on going up because they don’t have unlimited data… went over to Spectrum.. it was a nightmare.. they literally signed me up then couldn’t transfer my number to the iPhone 13 max pro which I just bought from them.. told me to take it home and try from home to transfer the info.. didn’t work took it back to them and said I’ll just keep my I phone from Verizon….… they literally locked my phone down and blamed it on Verizon!! My phone was paid off when I bought it.. they Lie and don’t have any shame.. I went back to their location every day for 6 days for hours spent at least 3 to 4 hours on the phone with their fake IT people as they just kept putting me back to the sales people.. I literally didn’t have phone for over a week and had to take my very sick and dying dog into the store said you need to get my phone up and running.. they again said it was Verizon fault .. Total lies.. I had transferred to them.. paid for my phone through them.. finally burst into tears and said Someone please get me directions to the Madison Veterinary Specialist’s in Madison Wi.. a lady there wrote out the directions for me.. THEY should be so ashamed.. I had no phone and the locked my old phone down so went to AT&T and they were able to transfer my info into a new phone .. the 13 max pro which I bought from them but couldn’t restore my previous number which I’ve had for 20 plus years!Show more

I have had Spectrum mobile for a year now No dropped calls< no bad service. Actually the opposite the FCC and JD Powers has rate Spectrum Mobile # 1 in the nation. These are either other mobile companies doing these reviews cause if you go look at other reviews they are 4 1/2 star rated. Do believe everything on the internet do your research alll these reviews are false or fake

I believed Spectrum with they said I live in a 5g coverage area. I do not. I can't get 5g until I get in a major market. They don't have nationwide 5g. They have certain areas of 5g coverage. I'll be going to a different service provider soon.

I drive Uber and rely on connectivity to make money. There are several areas in my territory that I get constant outages, one of which is a major SEC university. I canceled my service because the only 98% reliability I found was that I wouldn't be connected 98% of the time. Also, supposedly I didn't have a contract. Well, Spectrum forced me to purchase new phones in order to switch to their service, which amonthly charge occurred, which was supposed to be over 2 years. Upon cancelation…, I was told I would continue on the payment plan. As I was setting my phones up, I couldn't connect to make phone calls with my new service. My new provider stated it was an issue with my previous provider. As I was about to contact Spectrum, I received notification of a demand for full payment of the device before there would release the number. That's $2K they're demanding immediately. Sounds like a contract to me. My suggestion, don't get sucked into Spectrum low pricing. You're going to get less then what you're pay8ng for!Show more

I'm not a Spectrum customer. Spectrum cut my internet line while working on my neighbor's internet. I spent the day arguing with my ISP to have a technician fix my internet. I work from home and lost a days wages. My son is autistic and we were not able to receive services that day. Spectrum refuses to reimburse me for any of this.

It is weird Spectrum does not want to upgrade my cell phone because I don't have internet with them. I do have 2 phone lines from Spectum

Do not use spectrum mobile i have spent a week talking to 12 different customer service agents that transfer you to the retention center. They are the worst!

Their service does not work half of the time between 2 Spectrum phones. Calls drop constantly. Straight Talk from Walmart was 100000000% better than Spectrum. Do not walk, RUN from this service.

The absolute worst cell service I’ve ever had. 1 star is too high of a rating to be honest. I had better service while in the Middle East serving in the military. I can’t complete a call without it dropping off cutting out so bad that I have to end the call. Spectrum mobile is garbage. The only reason I haven’t terminated my contract is bc I’m still paying on my phones through them. As soon as I’m finished I’m gone, to literally anywhere else.

Dropped calls like crazy, most times my phone won’t even ring. Then I will get a text if my phone is working. A lot of dead areas with no service and I have to borrow a phone to make calls.

Called to get two lines and two phones. Over 3 hours later, I still have nothing. Got fed up. Go to Cricket, no hassle, in and out.

Spectrum mobile will cheat you in every way possible. Their 2022 Better Business Bureau Rating is an F, with thousands of customer complaints/reviews - and a 1 star rating (the lowest possible). It is astounding that the FCC is allowing Spectrum to operate as a cell carrier. Whatever it is Spectrum Mobile is offering, you will pay for it, but you won't get it. They 'regret any inconvenience' associated with giving you a phone number that actively belongs to another Spectrum cust…omer; and since they can't associate your name with the number they provided, your caller ID is permanently: 'Wireless Caller.' Meanwhile, the other Spectrum customer lost their right to port the number, which is unfair and unnecessary. Spectrum won't reimburse one red cent for loss of use, you will pay for the plan month after month, even when their mistakes prevent you from using the service.Show more

I'm a rideshare driver and depend on connectivity to provide income. I lose connection constantly in several areas of the Lexington market which sometimes results in the loss of accepted rides. I sign up because the price was much lower and ads stated 99% reliability, ha ha.
