Is Spectrum Mobile phone service any good?

Spectrum Mobile has the worst service I ever had.

Sometimes you will get ready to make a call but your phone says you have no network provider. Then you have to restart your phone to make and receive calls again. The 5G service is more like 2G. Spectrum is sorry mobile phone service.

Terrible Customer Service- Literally the WORST

Tried several phones to get the new C-Band 5G. The Employees are completely Clueless about that! Customer service hold times are over an hour. They told me to get the A13 which will give me low, mid, and mmWave 5G. They charged my credit card the FULL amount because mysteriously the trade-in credit of the $118 didnt go through! Now- I see this A13 only has access to the slow n5 lowband 5G. So now I have to go back to their store where hopefully their system wont be "Down" again! What a Pathetic Excuse for a company. They make RedPocket actually look good!

Painless Purchase and Activation- Unbeatable Price

I just activated 2 lines on Spectrum Mobile Service. Even though we belong to a Spectrum Internet Community apartment complex, we qualified for the $29.99 unlimited Call, Text, & Data Plans. Activation was a simple and straight forward online process. I foresee no issues since Spectrum uses Verizon towers.

Horrible Customer Service Rip Offs

Absolutely worse customer service ever. They have screwed up our bill and its been this way for a year and still won't fix it. We tried to upgrade when it said we were eligible in the app but then guy in the store said no. Then messed up our account and separated our home internet from the cell which cost us an extra $60 a month. We figured it out and called. They refused to do anything about the past year worth of over charges. They said the bill will be corrected next month with the extra $60 we had been charged each month now that our accounts are linked together again and the $60 extra we had to pay this month because the bill was out already would be credited next month bringing our bill from $195 to $75. We get notified from bank they tried pulling $195 out again this month. So, not only didn't they give us the $60 extra we paid last month off they still didn't remove the $60 over they charge if you don't have their home internet. Which we do and have had. We call and they play the same game oh, next month your bill will be $75 we cant do anything about this bill. HEEEELLLL no. Wait what? Why would we pay the overcharge of $60 again this month and then not get credit for it? You ask to speak to a supervisor and they won't allow you to. ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY FROM THEM THEY ARE A JOKE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING and are con artist rip offs. They take money from customers then refuse to fix their screw ups and expect people to just keep paying it. I'd rather switch to Prepaid but even better is our phones have been paid off for over 6 months now and they refuse to unlock them so we can use them on a prepaid network. Now why is that? We paid full price, over $1000 for each of the 3 phones, and they refuse to unlock them? Terrible company. If they ever get their customer service and company morals straight wouldn't be that bad. Plans are affordable and cell service isn't horrible. Just poor business practices. They are used to screwing people over on their home internet, cable, and phone bills so they figure they can get away with it on this level as well.

This company is garbage Scammers

They give you a promotion and rip you off with the bill send you high bills payments, really bad customer service so sarcastic.

Mobile service poor signal

Mobile signal is very poor. I will not have service while sitting 6ft away from someone that does and we are using the same tower.

When they sell you a plan, they don't tell you

When they sell you a plan, they don't tell you that the coverage is bad. They have a false coverage map. The signal in my area is terrible and they told me it was very good.

I would give it a negative star if i could..I have a dead phone since 3 days and the customer service has no idea what to do..the don’t even seem to be sorry about it..worst service!!

Awful awful mobile for a 94 year old

Basically she cannot use. Has to turn on airplane mode turn it off turn off mobile off,use wifi, cannot use bluetooth on wifi, awful just awful

It stupendously horrible!

Spectrum has the worst customer service and hold times I have ever experienced. They are right in line with spending an entire day trying to get a drivers license at the DMV with no appointment!! Called to get mobile service ONLY yet ended up getting totally up-charged for the completely opposite of what I wanted!! Spectrum sends me a new modem for WiFi, which I already have WiFi service with them, also set me up for a landline, which I had said several times NO, I DO NOT WANT A LANDLINE I ONLY WANT CELLULAR SERVICE. So now I have to waste time with returning their modem equipment AND my account shows that I owe $130, ALL for what I DID NOT ORDER, a modem, and a landline #. And to top off this awesomely horrible experience, the order was apparently incomplete for the cellular phone plan portion. Which is the only thing I had intended to get from the beginning! So I had to start the WHOLE process all over again with requesting service for ONLY cellular service. Then 4 days after the initial debacle and a “new” order was initiated again for cellular service, I finally receive my new SIM card. Now with SIM card in hand and ready to roll with activating over to my existing number and iPhone, Spectrum took over a week and endless calls back and forth with hold times in upwards of over 90 mins to finally determine why the SIM card continues to say it’s locked or I need a pin, or I need a PUK# (which was no where to be found with what I received)… the latest and greatest conclusion is that the SIM card I received must be corrupted since nobody from Spectrum can figure out any other reason why it’s not working. I have now been without any cellular service for over a week, since I had to cut off my other carrier in order to start with Spectrum to port my number over and activate with Spectrum’s “corrupted” SIM card. It gets better though….. there is also no guarantee I will be able to activate my service straight from doing all this on my cell phone once I receive the new SIM card. Therefore if the SIM card and my phone have issues activating, I will have to drive 20 miles to my office to use a landline to then call back Spectrum for further trouble shooting while Spectrum walks me through additional steps that “may” help with activating my now useless cell phone. I say “may” because nothing seems firm or concrete when you talk to Spectrum. Thanks Spectrum for creating a superior hellish experience. I am ready to pay more $ and just go back to T Mobile. As it stands now I’ve already paid for the first month with Spectrum of $45 yet remain to have no cellular service while waiting for 2nd SIM card. You know the old saying “You get what you pay for”, except here the difference is I already paid but have yet to receive ANYTHING but a whole lotta aggravation. Spectrum is worthless!

They give out defective phones

Between phones that don't work and horrible customer service I am looking into other options spectrum is by far the worst company yet we need honest companies on the coast I'm sure almost everyone would change providers our local store is a revolving door of complaints and unsatisfied customers

I had a line added to my mobile account. Package was suppose to be delivered on January 31, 2022 from Fort Worth, TX to Killeen, TX which is roughly about a 2 or so hour drive from each other. I waited 2 extra day before I contacted Spectrum. Spectrum told me to contact FEDEX. FEDEX told me to contact Spectrum. They both told me that my package was delayed because of an ice storm that hit Central Texas 3 day after the package was suppose to be delivered. When I pointed that fact out then they both changed the story to it is delay because of a lack of workers at the Hutchins, Texas FEDEX location. But the tracking information states that the package left this location on time on January 30, 2022. After it left this location it just disappeared off the face to the earth. I called FEDEX once again and this a customer service rep to me that the package was at the Hutto FEDEX location. And, to top it all of Spectrum charged my debit card $118 when they shipped to package and are about to charge the phone and plan of my monthly bill even though the phone was never delivered or activated on my end!!!! And 4 different Spectrum reps have told me that they were putting in a claims ticket and I just found out today (February 16, 2022) that no one put in a claims ticket!!!! poor customer service on both parties!!!! SMDH!!!!

CROOKS TO THE 10TH POWER!!!!

I port to another carrier and they still took my money even though I'm not using the service and refused to refund it!!! BIGGEST CROOKS EVER!!!!

SUCKS

I haven’t been with them for a whole two weeks and I had nothing but problems with them been waiting to get my money and my credit for my line and I get some how they don’t see no notes or nothing.

It is/was a nightmare

A horrible experience. I spent 9 hours on the phone, in one of their stores and in online chat trying to get one of my phones activated. No one could figure it out. Less than 24 hours after switching to Spectrum Mobile, I switched back to AT&T. Trying to get my refund has been a nightmare. They tell you that you can get a full refund if you cancel within 14 days. I canceled in less than 24 hours and I am still fighting for my refund. Everyone I talk to in customer service has a different story. Hold times to speak with someone are awful. Do not switch to Spectrum Mobile it’s not worth it.

GARBAGE

I’ve dealt with trying to activate phones for a week. This is by far the sorriest establishment to be called a business I’ve ever came in contact with

This company is trash and scammers they'll give you cash for a trade in they give you 10$ a months from the 123$ for 23 months but they don't tell you that they make it seem as if your going to get the whole 123$ applied at once so they keep your phone and they try to enslave you for 23 months there straight up scammer people reap what they sow though

Horrible service. Horrible customer service. Will charge you fees without notice. Don’t allow partial payments. Did I mention H. O. R. R. I. B. L. E. Service. I feel like it phone is on dial up. Takes forever for things To load. They charge you without your permission. Zero compassion. Stay far far far far away!!!!! Idc what deal they say. It’s not worth it. At. All!!!!

Didn't send what was ordered, cancelled, WAITING

Spent considerable time getting the phone and plan I wanted explained (had called a few weeks earlier while comparison shopping, but still took forever to get the order in). Got an email an hour or so later with wrong phone, wrong plan. Called to cancel, confirmed it was canceled. Next day the wrong phone is shipped anyway! Spectrum said "just refuse the delivery it will get returned to us, no problem". Refused FedEx delivery. After several days It was STILL sitting at FedEx. FedEx says the delivery instructions require return authorization. Contact Spectrum, they say they'll call. Contact FedEx, now going on 2 weeks since the order was placed, FedEx says they'll return it to sender. I would have just used the local Spectrum store, as they have always been very helpful, but they were honest and said they didn't have the phone in stock, instead of 800 number telling me that they had a phone that they apparently didn't have.
