Verizon customer service ratings

Very difficult to get ahold of customer service.

It takes 20+ minutes to speak to a rep. Wasn't like this years ago. Customer service reps are incompetent and are usually from overseas. Language barrier makes it difficult to communicate. I had a plan that I was grandfathered. The rep made changes to my plan without my authorization. All I was doing was calling to inquire about a possible upgrade. I had to go into a Verizon store to get it changed back to how it was, but then was told that they had to call the same number I called to take care of that because they were not able to handle it. When they changed it back, I was told my bill would increase by $10 per month to $225 instead of the $215 I had been paying each month. It didn't make sense. Still waiting for my plan to change back to how it was. Waste of my valuable time! Awful customer service!!!

Sales people lie to make a sale

In store courteous, but they lied about the release date of Jan 2021 on the A42. The actual date was in 2020. I'm buying a 2 year old phone for $400. Iwill be charged a restock fee if I return the phone. Shame on her. Good product, poor sales (female) helper. We are seniors on a fixed budget. I am so disappointed. I did my home work but they did not have the ones I researched. They showed me a different one, what I believed to be comparable to the others. SO DISAPPOINTED! This location is 7th St & Bell

Not all customer service is bad

I had a rocky start to trying to find out if my iPhone had come in. It actually arrived at store on Wed but I had to go to store in person on Friday and show them on my phone that my phone HAD been delivered on Wednesday even tho when I called on wed and Thursday I was told it had not come in. But Allegra with the Whiteville store was very sweet and helpful in setting up my phone and helping me with my questions. She saved Verizon with me because I was seriously thinking of changing my service. Thank you Allegra with the Whiteville NC store

Absolutely had it with the service!

Try to talk to a rep??!! FORGET IT!!! YOU GO IN CIRCLES!!! NO HELP!!

Worse of the lot.

Signed up with them in one of their local offices, rep. wrote down that my monthly payment would be $55. my first bill was $120. Returned to local office, rep. could not answer why my first payment was so high. He was on the phone 35 minutes waiting for the Verizon office to answer, never did. Next month, another charge for$110. Again, back to the local office, and again no answer for over 25 minutes on the phone. Third month, another charge for $90. This is when I cancelled my (subscription). They are still attempting to charge me for $25.

Absolute worst cell service ever even with 5G

My phone shows I have service 5G and 4G but I am never able to make a call without it cutting out or losing service, awful internet can't even load FB even though the phone shows there is 4 bars of service plus being on wi-fi. Their service is absolutely trash!!! I hate the Galaxy S21+. My old phone was better than this one.

Everytime i had a problem they came right away

My phone was not working almost every other day I had 2-3 people come fix it for a day than i had Jen who came and knew the problem right away my phone is working now Thank You Jen. She was pleasant, smart and knew her job and got it done right!

Worst customer service.

I called to transfer my phone to the new phone and they deactivated my number and after more than 5 hours still nothing and now they are closed for the day. Literally in tears if I loose my number

Horrible customer service/no live reps

Live reps only available for emergencies. Chat wait time was over 30 minutes once and 3 times over 15 minutes and still never communicated with anyone!!!

Bait and switch plus worst customer service

Replaced my iPhone 7 with an iPhone 12. Ads said that I was eligible to get free phone, but in fact it would have required upgrading to different plan that would end up costing more than the new phone. Instead they offered me a refund of whopping $36.00 for turning in old phone. First had to "request" the kit to send the phone back, and then spent literally hours online and on the phone trying to get the credit applied to my account. Every call or chat was with someone who gave me a different story. No one took notes or put them in their system. Finally spent more than an hour with representative who could find no record of why I was entitled to the $36.00 refund. [This was after wasting time chatting with a robot.] The last representative did say he was giving me the credit and it should show up on next month's statement and he did appear to take a lot of time researching the account. BUT the company makes false representations and clearly makes it as difficult as possible to contact a live person. NEVER buy a phone through the Verizon store.

Customer "service" is a misnomer.

I tried to contact Verizon about a non-working landline from a different landline without access to a cell phone or a computer. It took hours. It was one of the most painful experiences I hope I never have to repeat. I hate Verizon.

Best at ripping off customers

Verizon says they are the best network but the only thing they are the best at is ripping off their customers. Raising prices for no apparent reason, poor service, phone issues they refuse to fix or give you credit for etc, etc,etc. They also own visible and that company is even worse really bad service and tons and tons of phone problems they say they are fixing that never gets fixed. Then when you ask for a credit for months and months of problems they give you a few dollars credit. Avoid this company like the plague unless you like giving companies money for no good reason because a good service you will not get.

Customer service is non-existent!

Took 8 phone calls to establish new account upon husband's death. Now, having difficulty getting upgraded equipment due to "an order issue." Verizon called me re upgrade of ancient equipment, I did not call them. I am seriously considering another service!

Just got ripped off .

Very sad that the customer reps weren’t straight forward from the beginning. Now I’m paying triple than what they quoted me. Talk about highway robbery.

Former customer

Been with Verizon for 15 years. We switched yesterday. Have paid $199 a month for 2 unlimited lines. I wanted to add another line and see if there were any deals. I have fam who have plans with other carriers and they pay much less for the same thing we have. After waiting an hour, the rude salesperson was not interested in our business. $45 for 2 lines + $41.99 for unlimited and $55 for third w/hotspot and $41.99 unlimited. I walked out. Went across the street to Xfinity and got 3 unlimited 4/5G lines + hotspot for $100. See ya Version! You will not be missed.

Shameful No respect for loyal customer.

Been with Verizon 20 years. I’m a RN and when I asked about the healthcare worker discount was told I don’t qualify because I’ve been a customer so long I already get cheaper rates

Customer service is Awful

You will have to wait 45 to 50 minutes before you can talk to anyone. Online chat is slow. Waiting for a response is like watching paint dry. I get no bill even though I have not signed up for wireless. Online billing does not give you a breakdown. Was supposed to be getting a military discount but their website says I am not. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Live three miles from their tower but get poor or no signal. Go to another provider.

Abuse, lies, doublespeak

Try buying new phones from them as a 20 year customer. All the billing details get conveniently messed up with Verizon. No matter how sweet and helpful their tech / billing/ and customer support team act after hours of time spent on the phone with them... They don't document anything or follow w thru with what they promised. You have to fight for it. Their Frontline teams at their Verizon retail stores can be sweet but deceptive,. But the management has been unprofessional and even abusive when your transaction with them isn't a commissioned sale to their profit. Sadly, it's not improving.

Awful service do not recommend

Promotion offered when we bought for phones. 8 months later they state not honoring BOGO free, customer service awful, different answer everything. Find anyone but verizon

Worst customer service ever!

Waiting on hold for 3 hours to talk to customer service Everytime I call. Straight talk and us cellular are 100 times better. I'm going back to straight talk. Bye Verizon
