How to Find the Best Google Pixel Deals

Last Updated:

If you want to compare the best Google Pixel Deals, you've come to the right place.

The Google Pixel smartphone received raving reviews upon its entry into the smartphone market on October 20, 2016.

Many touted the smartphone as a grown up version of Android's Google Nexus device line, going so far as to dub it the Apple iPhone 7 killer.

If you look at the Google Pixel's price, however, you might be disappointed. It is one of the most expensive smartphones on the market today, right up there with the Apple iPhone 7. It all depends, of course, on how much storage you need and etc.

So, before you spend money on the best Google Pixel deals, I want to compare the best Google Pixel phones based on features and specs. This article will break down such features and specs to point you in the right direction. Check out our Google Pixel Deals comparison table when you're done to save money on your Pixel phone of choice.

Which Device Is Right for You?

It's hard to compare the best Google Pixel phones when there are only two versions of the Google Pixel. There has, however, been news floating around from Google (thanks, AndroidHeadlines), that the Pixel 2 is in the works and will be available later in 2017 at premium pricing.

Although it will be awhile before anyone sees the sleek new Google Pixel 2 Android phone, you can keep yourself preoccupied with the original Pixel or Pixel XL. The Pixel and Pixel XL are better than the Google Nexus phones; they have better specs and features than both Google Nexus phones.

As of March 2017, no sales figures surrounding the Google Pixel mobile phone have been reported, but it's been apparent, according to The Verge, that they have become scarce and incredibly difficult to find.

To back this statement is NowInStock.net, which - at the time of this writing - reports that the 32GB and 128GB Google Pixels are in stock in only four (excluding eBay) out of the 13 retailers listed. It's no surprise, considering the product's battery life (no worrying about battery drain), vivid display, amazing smartphone cameras, and brilliant and sturdy design.

So when you choose your Pixel version, you better jump on it as soon as it becomes available. Nevertheless, here are the available features of each Pixel mobile phone:

Google Pixel

Why you should consider it: Best camera, impressive specs, carries the latest version of Android with stock Android experience, has more storage than Nexus Devices, and is comfortable for one hand.

  • Memory: 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4

Google Pixel Features

This phone, which touts a vivid display and the latest version of Android and Google hardware, is every bit as powerful as you would expect. This beast sports an incredibly speedy processor, a fingerprint sensor, and a smartphone camera with laser autofocus that cannot be ignored.

The laser autofocus helps to determine how far away your subject is using lasers and light. If you're into photography as a hobby or just looking for a smartphone with a decent camera, you should seriously give the Pixel some consideration.

Furthermore, the battery life is more impressive on the Google Pixel compared to the iPhone 7. According to some sources, an hour-long episode via Netflix drained 10 percent on the Google Pixel - this is with Wi-Fi and auto-brightness turned on. However, with the iPhone 7, you'll face almost double the battery drain.

Additionally, the current Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL both have a normal headphone jack. The Google Pixel 2, however, may be wireless instead of using a headphone jack.

Google Pixel XL

Why you should consider it: If you want a bigger phone with greater resolution and a stock Android experience.

Google Pixel XL Specs

  • Capacity: 32GB, 128GB
  • Weight: 5.93 ounces
  • Smartphone Screen Size and Display: 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED Display at 534 pixels per inch
  • Screen Resolution: 2560x1440, 534 pixel per inch pixel density
  • Chip: Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor 821, 64-bit Quad-Core
  • Rear Camera: 12.3MP
  • Front-Facing Camera: 8MP
  • Video: 4K @ 30 fps, 1080p @ 30 fps, 60 fps, 120 fps, and 720p @ 30 fps, 60 fps, and 240 fps
  • Battery: 3,450 mAh battery
  • Memory: 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4
  • OS: Android 7.1 Nougat

Google Pixel XL Features

The Google Pixel XL with Google hardware is supposedly just as good as the iPhone 7 Plus. Furthermore, the Pixel and the Pixel XL are the first phones to feature Google Assistant. The Google Assistant is quite accurate, more relevant, and more informative compared to Siri. Pixel XL also sports an impressive HDR+ mode for its cameras, meaning greater quality images, complete with detail. It also has a fingerprint sensor.

If you want to customize your lock button options, you can do so in your settings app. For example, you can set a lock timer, set power button locking instead of pressing the lock button, or set a lock screen message.

The only downside of the Google Pixel XL? It's not water resistant and doesn't feature an optical zoom or optical image stabilization like the iPhone 7. It uses electronic imagine stabilization instead of optical image stabilization. Furthermore, it's expensive, but that's why you should certainly refer to our featured table of the best Google Pixel phone deals if you want to save a few dollars.

Who Offers the Best Google Pixel Deals?

You may find that the deals offered for the Google Pixel may vary depending upon the retailer/provider and when you purchase the phone. For instance, at one moment, you could score a Google Pixel on a Verizon cell phone plan at no charge if you trade in your current phone, but during the next moment, you could receive Google Pixel for half off at a specific retailer.

We are on the constant lookout for the best deals, not to mention the availability of the phones, to save you time and money.

Recap

The Google Pixel is currently scarce thanks to Google's inability to predict the demand, but when it is in stock, you certainly cannot go wrong with the series. Both devices are extremely powerful, sporting a better than decent camera, strong resolutions, a quick and efficient processor, and a lengthy battery life.

Overall, if you've settled on the Google Pixel or the Google Pixel XL, then you should pay close attention to the available and current deals that I will provide you.

If you feel that you cannot afford the expensive phone, even with the deals and discounts, then perhaps you could consider selling your used phone with any of these services and use the money towards the purchase of a Google Pixel. Of course, you can cut costs immediately by buying a used cell phone from any of these retailers.
