AT&T U-Verse Bundle Deals
Similar to other cable TV providers like Comcast cable TV and Verizon Fios, AT&T U-Verse offers its bundled services with promotional pricing. In other words, the price you pay the first year may be different than what you pay the second.
Once your promotional expiration date rolls around, you'll have to pay normal rates. Here's how to get cheap cable TV if you're struggling.
You have several means of obtaining AT&T's current deals. The quickest way is to visit its website and select the 'bundles' tab under shop. This will show you all the current deals available to you. You can contact their customer service reps via phone or live chat to receive this information as well. Their toll-free phone number is 1-(800)-288-2020.
U-Verse Cable TV vs. DIRECTV Satellite TV
U-Verse is considered cable TV service while DIRECTV is considered Satellite TV service. In other words, one runs on radio signals transferred via cable while the other runs on radio signals transferred via satellite.
Which is best for you? Well, it kind of depends on where you live. Before you decide on cable or satellite, you should check to see what's available to you.
For example, satellite Internet is good for those in rural areas where cable TV hasn't expanded to yet. On the other hand, your TV screen might be fine during a storm if you have cable and go out during a storm if you have satellite.
Here's the bottom line: once you've determined what's available in your area, you can use this guide and our various comparison guides and reviews to determine which service you prefer.
U-Verse Double Play
Here's a closer look at some of its bundled offerings:
Internet and TV Bundle
This package is perfect if you want a sampling of cable channels and high-speed internet to surf the web, check email, and stream videos online. With this plan, you receive the U-Verse Family TV package that consists of more than 200 channels to watch all of your favorite TV programs. That's more than Verizon Fios offers with their Internet and TV bundles.
You also gain access to AT&T's extensive on-demand programming and total home DVR service. The total home DVR service allows you to record multiple shows at once.
In addition to any of its U-Verse TV packages, you receive access to its basic internet plan with download speeds as fast as 6 Mbps. This speed is perfect for households with one to two internet devices. What's more, AT&T includes its WiFi Gateway router to help you stay connected to the internet no matter which room in your house you are in.
This plan comes with promotional pricing for the first two years when you sign the contractual commitment. It's important to note that when you sign up for this bundle there's a one-year service agreement required.
Furthermore, with the packaging of its internet and cable service, you have access to unlimited data. To find more information on internet and tv bundles, check out our handy guide on the subject.

Internet and Home Phone Bundle
If you want to substitute home phone service in lieu of cable TV, you can do so through AT&T U-Verse. This package gives you access to its standard digital home phone service with over 25 features available and a reliable connection.
Speaking of connections, you also receive its internet service with download speeds as fast as 6 Mbps. If you require faster download speeds in the event multiple people in your home want to stream video online concurrently, AT&T also delivers a home phone and internet package with download speeds up to 24 Mbps.
Similar to the other bundles from AT&T, you must agree to commit to one-year of its internet service. However, by doing so, you receive affordable pricing for the first year of service. If you're interested in internet and phone bundles, consult our guide to learn more.
U-Verse Triple Play
If you require standard digital home phone service with Internet and cable TV, then you are in luck. AT&T offers a bundle with all these services included. Let's take a closer look at what you receive with it:
AT&T U-Verse TV, the Internet, and Home Phone bundle
This package encompasses all of AT&T's U-Verse offerings. With it, you receive the U-Family TV Package, where you have access to over 200 channels including your local ones and news choices for access to your favorite TV programs.
Furthermore, you receive AT&T's U-Verse internet service with download speeds as fast as 6 Mbps. You also have access to connect your devices in any room of your home thanks to the WiFi Gateway router. Lastly, you'll receive crystal clear sound quality on your calls through its digital home phone service.
Similar to the Double Play channel packages, there are one-year service requirements for U-Verse internet and TV bundles. At the same time, by signing this commitment, you receive low pricing on all three of its offerings. If you act during promotional periods you might also earn cash back in the form of a prepaid debit card.
It's important to note that there will be additional charges, which will raise your promotional prices to a degree after the promotional period. To illustrate, if you want HD channels for your TV screen, you'll have to pay $10 monthly cost for it. Comcast HD service charges the same thing; however, U-Verse does offer more HD channels than Comcast HD service. Moreover, you might also incur a $49 activation charge and an installation fee of up to $99 with U-Verse.
Another important consideration you should be mindful of is AT&T allows you to customize your bundled plans to align more with your needs. One of the best ways to do this is if you are a current customer you can log in then go to manage your account. This shows you all your current services.
If your account(s) are in good standing, you can tailor your bundle more to your needs such as upgrading your cable package to have access to more channels or adding premium offerings such as HBO or Showtime. You can also ask for faster internet speeds.
If you are a new customer, then it is best to speak to customer service reps via phone, live chat, or in-person at one of its stores. Again, the toll-free phone number is 1-(800)-288-2020. They will work with you to help you design a bundle that aligns most with your interests. You can check the AT&T TV guide on their website to see which shows they offer where.
