Is Spectrum Mobile phone service any good?

Wish I could give zero stars

The in store salespeople will lie to you. You get a great deal (with bad service) for a couple months then your bill will skyrocket. When you call them they will tell you all the fine print and what the salespeople always fail to mention. I had a line cancelled on me from one day to the next, not for non payment, just because. The only reason I got spectrum mobile was because my apartment had spectrum for Wi-Fi and they offered a “great” promotion but definitely not worth it. Go with the big names (ATT, Verizon, etc) you may pay a little more for the first few months but at least the bill and service will be consistent.

I've had no problems with Spectrum Mobile service.

SPECTRUM mobile is horrible

We have been with spectrum mobile since October 2022 we have a family plan with 5 phones. They constantly make errors on our account, our bill is ridiculous, my daughter number got ported out and she hasn't been able to use her phone for 35 days and her IPhone is LOCKED until they can fix her device SMDH I'M BEYOND UPSET

Sold me a phone that can not and doesnt work on 5g

Networks or cast after a year of their techs Motorola and their stores excuses what the issue was found out from other sources and can't keep bills straight even dealing with retention dept dont come to this disownist company that after telling them about phone 3weeks later still selling to customers moto g pure no trade in value with asurrion must know their junk too will not work on Verizon or any other ,5g network company

Horrible customer service

Went to switch me and my son’s line over on the promotion been a whole week my son’s never switched over they said it was my old carrier talk to my old carrier they said they been released my son’s number I’m getting a full refund and I’m going back to my old carrier will not recommend Spectrum Mobile to anyone never had a problem with my old carrier

Harassed us over a bill that was paid

From day one they harassed us over paid bills threatening to shut our phones off and finally they shut off our phones without a bill to pay. Getting ready to walk as we speak back to our previous provider.

Dislike very much

I have had spec internet for a long time I decided to switch to spec mobile and regret it. I specifically asked for a decent phone with a good camera because that's all I really use it for. However after paying around 500 bucks I received a good phone (at first) then soon after the phones camera stopped working. Now I have a decent phone and no camera and all they can do is send me the same phone which is pointless. Do your research and really dive into the reviews of the phone your getting I just did a surface level search before I got it and it looked good however when I searched up the specific camera issue I saw a lot of ppl with the same phone type camera doesn't work.

Promo not applied. Told buyer beware.

Horrible service phone drops a lot. Was suppose to get 12 months free but promo not applied. Told nothing they could do. Predatory sales relations and marketing. Subpar service that drops calls and have to keep recalling to get clear signal.

Horrible customer service if you have an issue

Bought a new phone from a spectrum store, but the sales person forgot to add our old trade in to the account. It took 4 phone calls to Spectrum reps to correct; the store employees told me they didn’t know how to fix it and suggested I’d get more money anyway if I just sold it on line

Inept service and support

5 weeks to transfer Spectrum land line to Spectrum mobile. Multiple calls to 800 lines, never the same person. NOw the billing is incorrect, the first answer is “ oh, the systems don’t talk to each other we have to create a “ticket” and you have to call back. No concept of customer service. Difficult if not impossible to get a hold of a supervisor to escalate. Disappointed, ready to cancel and transfer even if it costs more, but they may not know how to do that either.

Horrible. Their reps make a mistake and you suffer

My phone was stolen and I went in the store on January 10th to cancel service and get another phone, on the 17th service wasn't canceled and a bill was generated so now I'm stuck paying for a phone I don't have. I never got the phone they were supposed to send me they customer service really suck and the supervisor up hold the people who don't do there jobs.

Phone stopped working 1 1/2 weeks after recieving

Phone stopped working after an update 1 1/2 weeks after recieving it. They refused to replace it... have better service with two cups and string.

I came to Spectrum because I trusted the name. That trust has now been crushed, by Spectrum itself. I called to set up mobile service. I spent 1 hr+1min on the phone with their sales lady, Hannah. When she told me I would need over $100 to start the service, I explicitly told her I did not have enough money in checking to pay for that today. She said that was no problem. She lied then by telling me I should give her my bank account information and Spectrum would only take $1 out of my account until the day I called back when I'd have the funds to cover it. She said if I did that, when I called back everything would be entered and my phone's would then be sent. Within 7 hrs of our call, I got a message from my bank that Spectrum has charged me $115.79 😡 I immediately called Spectrum back and was told they could not put a stop on that charge even though the phones had not even shipped yet. This lady told me she had written a ticket on the matter. She said to call back in 48 hrs to make sure the ticket had been processed. When I called back that ticket meant nothing. I retold the whole story. I explained that I got an email saying the phones had been shipped. That agent told me it was okay that FedEx would redirect the shipment and send it back to Spectrum. He said once they returned, it would take 5 days to get my money returned to my bank. I asked to speak to his Supervisor. He said they would tell me the same thing. I insisted and was put on hold for over 20 minutes. DURING that hold time, the phones were delivered TO MY HOME. When the agent came back, he said there were no supervisors available. I told him the phones had been delivered and I would continue to hold. Within minutes a Supervisor answered. She told me she was emailing me labels so I could return the equipment to Spectrum. She said when it was received then Spectrum would refund my money within 5 days. Once I got confirmation from FedEx that the equipment was returned, I called Spectrum to confirm. The new agent told me their warehouse was running 4 to 5 weeks behind on processing. 😡 I said "so it will another month before you refund the money Spectrum fraudulently withdrew from my bank account?!" He apologized repeatedly but said "yes". I asked him if Spectrum has a complaint Department or an investigation team etc. He said they do not. There is absolutely no solution to what they did except to just accept it. How does this happen in 2023 that a company can do such things and be totally unaccountable?!

Don't accept if they offer you free mobile

I was promised Free Mobile Connectivity for 12 months and was charged 120 dollars over 4 months. I raised this dispute multiple times and got on the phone with them 4 times in those 4 months. Each of those calls lasted over an hour. I was offered a 10-dollar credit fee for my troubles and was spoken to patronizingly by the manager. While the salesmen will try to tell you that you are getting a bargain, what you sign up for is below-par customer service and entering into a contract with a debased corporation with absolutely no morals whatsoever. They fleece customers into believing they will get free mobile and charge them money late on..

Lousy Service!!!!!

I saw your ad on tv where you pay 29.99 for 1 line & 2nd line is free for 1 yr. They told me that I had to upgrade 2nd line. They would ship new upgraded phone. They asked for a credit card that I could cancel anytime. Service would not be activated until I received the new phone & I gave them a transfer pin from my current provider. My monthly payment would be 44.00 + 14.00/mo. for 24 mos. The following day I checked my bank account & Spectrum had taken out 71.69 from my account. Now I’m paying 2 phone companies and only 1 account is active. I called Spectrum to cancel my order. Person by the name of Tamar told me order was cancelled & that my money would be returned in 3-5 days. On the 5th day I called & I was told by Tasia (?) that they could not cancel or refund my money until they received the returned phone. That is not what I was told before. Because of Spectrum’s charges I am having returned checks on my bank account. I am calling my bank to report & dispute this fraudulent charge. I am not recommending your service to anyone.

Once of the most worst customer service company I have ever dealt with. When I sign up for 2 phone lines, 1 for myself and 1 for my wife. We were told that we would get our plans for 2 for 1 promotion. On our first bill we didn’t get the promotion on our bill. When I called into customer service lady said she would correct the bill. Next month bill came in and it was the same. I was told that she couldn’t do that. Asked for supervisor to review phone call as I have the date, time and what was said recorded. They claim all calls are recorded. Well guess what, they couldn’t fine the recorded call. Lady said the best she could do is to give my wife’s phone bill a $10.00 discount. So we agreed to stay with them. Now my phone bill came in yesterday and it was the same. When I called back, they said they see the notes that I was to receive the discount however they can’t apply it since they’re is no way for them to do that. Asked for a supervisor. They told me that there is nothing they can do. They can even honor what there own customer service people say. Even though they can see that I was told this information from there own people. I don’t know how any company can operate like this. They are totally dishonest and I will never do business with Spectrum again. I hope that anyone taking the time to read this that they will fine another service provider then Spectrum Mobile.
