Bad customer service/Extra charges

I paid off one of my phones early and got a bill the next month with an extra 333.28 charge on it. Says something about a buyout??? I tried to call and just got a recording, tried to communicate on line and just kept getting an automated answer. Anyone out there know what this is??? I am definitely leaving and going to a better company. Too many unexpected charges too expensive. Bye bye Verizon!

I agree with most reviews. Service and customer

Drops calls, customer service terrible. Long hold times and quick to transfer call which you get disconnected and have to start over with new person. Been trying to resolve issues for almost a year. No resolution. Past 3 days I have wasted 12 hours. Been a customer for 20 years but no more. They allow people to finance phones without permission under the account holders name and unwilling to fix the problem.

Dropouts, bad reception no customer service

We have Constant dropouts, especially in our home. Reception is generally mediocre. They have no functioning customer service. If you call, they suddenly hang up or transfer you to a site that tries to sell you something that has nothing to do with you. The chat is preposterous. Had to get a new phone at local outlet but this one doesn’t get service either. Oh, don’t expect your bill to be remotely close to the original quote, even if you show them hard evidence.

Since the Verizon Store didn't Open

Singe the Verizon store didn't open in Oxnard I had to wait at the front door until someone had a working cell phone so we could locate the Ventura store. I was wait for over an hour so I was very frustrated for burnning so much time on a frantic Monday morning. Upon arriving at the Ventura Store I was met by a great employee, Antonio B who really gets the five stars here. He was so upbeat and shortly calmed me down and I was able to purchase a new phone and get on my way. As far a Verizon Wireless not so much. I have been with Verizon for 23 years now and every year they are more difficult to deal with. They would not allow me to purchase two phones. I like to have a back up to travel with; can't do that. I couldn't even pay the balance for the phone. I have to pay the balance of $50 in 30 days because they want to carry it in hopes they can charge interest as a "Device Finance Charge". Verizon has gotten so big they could care less about the customer. If you are considering starting an account these thieves go to a different provider. I am stuck since changing would cause me days of changes accounts tied to my phone and not to mention the stored data I have with Verizon. They know they can change your contract and enact new rules regardless of the customer's preference. So sad since I had so many great years with Verizon before they decided they could screw the customer since it's so hard to drop them after so many years of using them. That's the other reviews are on the most part one star reviews. My business has over 350 5 star reviews. If I had the reviews that Verizon has accumulated I would have been out of business in a week.

Horrible! Stay Away From Them.

I had a flip phone from TracPhone I loved. Verizon recently bought them out. I was told I could no longer use that phone but I would be able to get a free phone from Verizon. That is a flat out lie! When I phoned to get my free phone, I was told I would not be able to get one. So they lie, lie, lie! Don't believe a word these people tell you because they lie!

Terrible Customer Service Experience at Verizon!

Even I can't give one star to the Verizon service experience. I've not had a terrible service experience ever. I wanted to buy iPhone 13 pro max switching from ATT to Verizon. Due to a website system error, a Verizon representative filled my order on the messenger. He sent me the application form and I filled it out with the right information but the application form system wasn't stable so I submitted it twice and made sure my shipping information was on the messenger as well. It was good so far but after closing the deal, I got the confirmation emails but he didn't include my apartment unit. Right away I asked to fix my shipping information on the messenger. Another salesperson said he can't change the address and then I had to call its customer service center. It was almost midnight and I couldn't access to customer service center. So I asked to connect customer service person to fix the shipping info right away and they didn't respond to it. The next day I reach out to them to explain this but this happened again. I stayed up by midnight and started to get annoyed. Whenever I asked them to fix the shipping information or to cancel the order they said that I can't access your info because I don't have an account yet. Today I've been on the line from 11 and to 4:30 pm to fix this issue. Even I asked to cancel the order due to Verizon's irresponsible service but they can't because my order had already been shipped without my apartment unit information. During this process, I had to be tossed from the sales team to the customer service team and I had to experience this for more than 7hrs for a week without fixing shipping information and order cancellation. Since the order has been shipped they said they can't cancel it now and if I can't get the refund I have to call the sales team again to make sure my order is canceled. This experience ruined my whole week and I didn't get anything but anger and frustration. I would better pay another deal without switching Verizon's irresponsible service. They sell the phone but they don't fix their mistake even I raised the issue right away which is not a difficult issue but they couldn't deal with it. They only say that I don't have access to your account. I have to ask how to use my trade-in credit and $1000 prepaid card but I can't trust Verizon's customer service. It's better to buy the full price from AT&T or another service other than this hell-like customer service experience. I wasted my whole week going through this. Verizon doesn't take responsibility at all. Consumers have to figure out their mistakes. They'll ship your new phone without your apt unit and even I reported it to them but no intention to fix it. Just you should figure it out. What a terrible experience with Verizon. I'm not going to use the Verizon service at all!

No support. No help. Worst experience ever!!

I signed up for their business lines and I regret it!! 3 days of missed calls, dropped calls, no forwarding and NO HELP!! No Support!!! so disappointed!

They suck.

Verizon used to be a great company. I was with them for almost 15 years. I work for a company that has car dealership in multiply locations in Texas. I would get very bad signal in Alice and also our location in Hillsboro Texas. I tried to resolve my issue with them a few times just to have them tell me that they were working on the towers or they would get it fixed. After I took a vacation in Oklahoma , I lost, or my cell phone was stolen. That is 100% my fault and I'm not blaming Verizon for any of that. What got me upset was the treatment I got when I reported it. I was just wanting to know what my options were and they made me feel like I was asking for a handout. Bottom line is it pissed me enough to switch to another (Better) carrier. Verizon then proceeded to hound me wanting my business back and after telling them no, They stuck me with a 1700 hundred dollar bill. 15 year and this is how you treat your customers. You are to worried about getting new customers that old customers are leaving for better carriers everyday. I am so happy and yes I did pay their ransom money to save my credit. I will never recommend them to anyone. Friend or foe. Worst company on the planet.

they dont care

my husband died, I returned his phone, verizon keeps charging me almost $900 forhis returned phone. I've spoken to them several times in the past four months. I guess they dont care about their customers.I really want to keep my phone ,I have pics and videos of my late husband on it.

No customer service, no support.

I received a Verizon 8K battery charger. Out of the box it did not work. Customer service informed me that I can ship back at my cost (it was a gift) or I can go to the store and try to return without a receipt. The product came with no directions for troubleshooting or cords. It will soon be landfill.

I had the same phone number for 10 years and one day I called customer service for a change of device and the person who was on the other end of the line exactly a Verizon employee made a mistake and deactivated my phone line and with that I lost My number because it was not a tiredness, it was a deactivation of the number and I lost everything because or did I work with that number in my private business so gentlemen I do not recommend anyone who has that company,

They had a very professional staff

They helped me with trade in my old phone with new. the took the time to help me . my problem is solved. Thank you people at Verizon.

Steal money & worst customer service!! Stay away!

They tell you a phone is free, nope they still charge for it!! They steal money from you! Customer service is a freaking joke, it's like calling a 1 year old. Service sucks STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON!! TEAM MOBILE IS WAY BETTER ALL THE WAY AROUND. HATE I SWITCHED TO A JOKE OF A COMPANY!

They have really gone downhill

I have been with them for over 22years and never have I had to wait 2hours for a phone call to connect as often as lately. Over the past year they don’t answer in a timely manner then aren’t able to take care of basic changes without billing mistakes. They added an extra line and charged me for two extra lines then I couldn’t reach anyone to fix the issue for over 45min. Then I was assured I would see the credit but my bill instead had all dots of other questionable charges leading to an overall unexplained increase. Their Mifi JetPacks suck and the one I had 8800L repeatedly caused the lithium battery to expand breaking off the back cover. Not only do they refuse to replace defective device they won’t take it off the market! You call one person that’s helpful then the next two day they will do something but they don’t and the notes aren’t there to back up your claims. They refuse to audit the actual phone conversation to find the truth but send you to well spoken ‘Advanced Leadership’ representatives that spend an hour explaining how much Verizon cares and wants to remedy safety/customer service concerns but they in turn put notes on your account NOT to help. Frustrating because for many years they were fine, they’re bills were very standard and most the representatives would answer timely with the motivation to quickly fix things as to avoid any further stress. If you don’t pay for the fancy extra data plans on cell service or JetPack add-ones they don’t seem interested in helping. I paid over $85 a month and my cell phone would never connect in busy cities when I needed it and the MiFi would constantly load any videos. Nothing was good the last few years with them. After 22yrs I’m seriously considering switching and wanted to share my concerns so others understand what they might be getting into.

For a communcations company they don't communicate

Problems going on for several months since Dad signed up. He wanted an itemized paper bill mailed to him each month This seemed to be difficult for them to execute despite hours on the phone and assurances from their agents. They blamed the postal service., but one of their own agents blamed the previous agent for not completing the request transaction. They also tired to overcharge my Dad twice. They could care less that he is 96 and can't use a computer. They also seem to have a hard time communicating within their own departments. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing.

hold times over hr. being told supervisor will call back and don't. put hold when you finally get someone a supervisor and they put you on hold than new person picks up. probably switching service. been with them for over 20 years. so sad.

Very poor service,

It’s not as it was before! Two years we have such a poor service and for some areas no internet at All! Airport in Houston is an example... have an iPhone 11 and those two years I switched to Verizon is only a struggle with the connection. Verizon always known for good service but not anymore!

Find yourself another plan they will rip you off!

My son was recently taken off our plan for years and years and years of service. Only for them to continue charging for a family plan even though his phone was off. When I tried to change the plan they retired airplane from years ago and now make me pay almost as much as I would pay for the both of us. So there was no discount or loyalty for all of those years that we paid to them. When you call customer service you are treated very rudely as if you never gave years of money to them. Beware and find yourself a different company that cares!!!!!

They have the WORST service!

I have been with Verizon for years. When I moved, I could only get reception in a few spots and would still cut out horribly. I told them about my problem and they we're going to do all these test to see if the problem was on their end. Nope, definitely not them. I had to get a new phone and in less than a year, phone would no longer charge. They sent a replacement, within a few month's it started acting up as well. I had no outgoing calling for 5 days, was suppose to have the store manager contact me on 3 different occasions. Never happened. I noticed my bill jumped up way higher than I was willing to pay. Verizon puts a lot of hidden fees in their bills so if you have them, go get a print out of your actual bill because they stopped printing it all out for you. It's research-based so check it out if you think I am not being truthful. I had my parents bring their phones over with a different provider so I could test it. Needless to say, I left Verizon and went somewhere else. I have all my bars with great service and my bill is $50 cheaper a month! Best decision I made!!!
