Already a household name for its satellite television services under its Dish brand, the provider now offers satellite internet for all those who struggle to get wired broadband from traditional ISPs. For those who go for one of the bundled plans from Dish Network there are also discounts available, which represent greater value for money. This includes a waiver of the usual activation fee when you bundle your services.

Dish Internet Speeds and Data Limits

While the speeds available with satellite internet are generally not the fastest, DishNet is decent for those who cannot get wired services and is certainly preferable to dial-up speeds. Even with the entry level package, you can get speeds of up to 5 Mbps and with the Premium package you get up to 10Mbps. You will also benefit from up to 30GB of data each month depending on the package you choose. While the packages from this provider are fine for general use, those who are into hardcore gaming may struggle due to poor latency, a common issue with satellite internet.

Though not accredited, Dish has received a very good A- rating from the Better Business Bureau. On review sites such as Yelp and Viewpoints, the provider has received average ratings for customer service as well as for reliability.

Dish Network Internet Service

As an option for satellite internet, Dish Network is great. Though it may not have the super high speeds some their competitor's offer, what they do have as major benefits are the great prices, convenient bundle packages, the widely available service that can be provided extensively throughout the US, and a nice range of options to choose between to fit your own personal needs. 2 out of 10 rating 2 None They offer you options they have no intention of offering

Don't believe what they tell you! I signed up to Dish because of how it was sold to me and when it was all set up I noticed I didn't have some options I was told were included. I called and they told me they do not offer those choices I told them I wanted to cancel and they told me I would have to pay an early cancellation fee!

With Dish Network, you get more bang for your buck. I got both the single and double DVR, Sirius sat radio. Which all lowered my bill. I'm glad I made the switch from Comcast.

10 out of 10 rating 10 No signal loss Nothing

Dish Net was the best deal for me, I've had a for a few years and so far no problems. A tree made us lose signal, but that was it. Having DVR is a pretty good thing too.

5 out of 10 rating 5 Good service until you cancel Charge you without notice

We cancelled out Dish subscription as we were moving to a different state and we were not sure if it was available there, so we asked them to come round to collect everything, but they did not take the box, they said we could take it with us in case we do sign up again. We did not sign up with Dish again and tried to contact them to send the box back but we were told the same thing. 2 years later we have just received a bill stating we owe them $500 for not returning the box. We tried so many times to return it to them and not once were we told it would cost if we kept it and didn't sign up with them again. I'm still fighting this out with the Dish reps currently waiting for an answer.
