Horrible service/coverage

Unless I am on wifi, NO MATTER WHERE I AM...I can hardly open anything, and when I am able to, the pages take FOREVER to load. Even if it say that I am on 5G or LTE with full bars, NOTHING...whats thje use in having a phone that I can't use??????

If I could give it 0 stars I would! It is a scam!!

I never received the sim card and they charged me monthly and would not refund me despite me calling every single day to tell them I did not if fact have a my altice phone or sim card. In order for me not to be sent to a collections agency and have my credit score go down they told me I HAD TO PAY THEM!!!! IT is a complete scam. Please do not be fooled. I hope this saves some one out there their hard earned money and hours of their life that could be spent doing something other than calling customer service and going to optimum in person without getting any resolution.

Altice mobile personal is the worst , this people only knows how to get your money but nothing else. Really bad experience, they don’t deserve no even 1 star.

Also, Altice Mobile wouldn't work in the basement or any high rise building above 10th floor. What a difference after using my Metro PCS which has a great service and 5G coverage entire NYC.

Eventually I cancel my Altice Mobile service just after one week. And Altice Mobile forced me to pay for the whole month plus taxes. Notice also that Altice Mobile AutoPay is required for all new lines of service as of August 31, 2020. Beaware, there is no way to cancel Autopay!

If you still want to switch to Altice Mobile please, please read carefully their Terms and Conditions, it is very tricky.

Everything, worst customer service

Spent many, many hour trying to correct the inaccurate billing

this service is scam

There is no customer service. No phone posted. Had to call optimium to find it out. Online support is useless. Worst of all. They charge you for service you did not have. I sign up on Dec 6 and was told I 'd get the service starting on Dec 20 as I wanted. Instead I was chaged from Noev 13. When I called to ask why, I was told this is because I 'fell' into the Nov 13-Dec 13 cycle even though I did not have the service. This is scam

Service unreliable, customer service is terrible.

They failed to mention that porting your number can take up to 48 hours - longer if over a weekend. When my service did start working, it was TERRIBLE! In areas I've never had trouble with, I couldn't load even a Yahoo homepage in my browser. Calls wouldn't connect or had spotty reception. After 3 days I switched to my old carrier, StraightTalk, and tried cancelling Altice. I'd rather pull my own tooth than talk to their customer service again!! I was on chat with customer service for over an hour, with 10 to 15 minute delays between responses trying to cancel the auto pay that it would not allow me to do online. The customer service agent's answer- to just not have money on the card that was set up so that it wouldn't go through. No joke that's what he said. So I finally called customer service and she was able to cancel the lines but told me since a bill had already been generated that I would have to pay it or it would go to collections. Mind you, this is a prepaid phone service. So the bill that went out I haven't even used yet because it doesn't start until later this week on that cycle. But she was adamant I had to pay it, and then when they realized I didn't use that service it would refund the account and then I could call them about getting the money back. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said there was no one available and then she said the only person available was with another customer. I offered to wait and she said that they couldn't wait on the line. When I asked her name, with a VERY thick foreign accent she stated it was "Melissa Smith". I hung up and called again and got someone else who told me the same thing. That I would have to pay the bill to avoid it go into collections for $36, and then it could be refunded after the system recognizes that I didn't use the service. I again asked for a supervisor to which she said no one was available that she could pass the information along and the supervisor would call me when she got a chance. I worked in customer service call centers for over 10 years. This is unacceptable. I honestly do not have any idea how this company is still in business. I will yell far and wide how terrible this company is and post reviews on anywhere and everywhere I can. STEER CLEAR OF ALTICE MOBILE.

Their service and coverage

Had decent 3 month. Then no service most of the time unless I'm using WiFi. Tried to work with customer service and gave them over 10 locations between 2 states where I had no service to prove that I'm not being picky. They response was connection around address where phone registered (I didn't even mention) is spotty use wifi. So I think altice mobile should be considered landline company not cell phone

During Covid no exceptions to paying bill automatically disconnect you on day due and they takes 4-6 hrs to reconnect can’t speak to anyone won’t lower your rate horrible I’m so upset that I had chose them to be my provider

Wall away from their deal not worth it the customer service is terrible. I tried to sign into my account for 2 weeks and I couldn’t get in. Service kept telling me I was a priority and would hear back from someone within 24 hours but I never heard from anyone only to text a 5th time and find out my account was cancelled

Monthly rates

I have switched from Verizon to Altice and saved myself a ton of money. They offer a nice selection of phones, they’re tasted are far better their fellow carriers.

I never had a chance to get any customer service at all. no phone answer, no email respond. Is tike there is nobody on the other side. The signal drops in many places. Sending any type on messages isa gambling.

They offer an unlimited talk, text & data for $40

Since subscribing to the service I’ve had to contact them twice. Each time through text

Lack of coverage

Used them for 2 months. Virtually zero service regularly. The primary network is Sprint, and when you can connect its great. But if you hit a dead zone you switch to ATT 2G, NOTHING above. 600mb if you're lucky, usually under 200mb. Also what they don't tell you is using your device as a Hotspot is limited to 600mb/s. If you need minimal service and live in a populated area it may work for you, but if you're 10mins out of a town don't count on it. No, I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

I’ve been thru hell with his crappy joke company. Yes it’s cheap for $20 monthly but to dealt with bunch of clown company is not worth it.

I rather pay more to legit big company that has already name years.

They don’t have hotline number all I had to do is messages them (chatting in live) I mean I had to stop doing whatever I need to do just to be able chat with them and the end they can’t find solutions.

I requested a new number and for altice policy is disconnected which is the person that I chat with he never mentioned about that. So we continue the process of getting new number using altice iphone (purchase it with service paying monthly for $12 something) and the following month got a billed for a full price of cell phone and I was shocked. Over a month still waiting for them to find solutions of refunding cuz they aware they even don’t have the ticket for “requested disconnection” so they know is their mistaken for not communicating to customers.

Ok on that problem hasn’t resolved I received another bill for full price cell iphone again. I mean really??? And I call optimum and they refuse to help the reason is they don’t have access to mobile department and again they advise to keep do the chat.

The point is “NOT WORTH IT” me and my family so regret signed up for this little company.

Basically optimum is another bad company too. Every time I went to the cablevision store nearby there’s always lots of people got out the store complaining and returned cable boxes and they can’t even be able to help me with my concern about the mobile service.. didn’t they connecting to each other? I guess only got good convenience only but for customer concern they clean their hands and said “I’m sorry I can’t help you, you need to chat with them thru their website. Very sad really.

Good coverage

Surprisingly Altice has a decent network at least where I live. I recommend trying out Altice.

Lie, Steal, terrible customer service

Suddenlink guy told me coverage is the best and I get to keep number. Didn't put SIM card in until a couple weeks later. When I tried the service, my number was different and the internet barely worked. I switched back to my old Sim card immediately. I tried to cancel and get a refund but they messaged me they don't do that. I was charged $50 in less than two months for services I didn't/couldn't use. I tried to cancel services but only way to talk to someone is chat. I thought I closed the account then they put another 5$ on my bill. You can't see why they charge what they do and you can't talk to anyone about it. It's been 3 months and I'm still trying to get that money off my bill and the account closed. It was very expensive in time, money and stress to work with this company. Don't do it. Never had ANY problems like this with AT&T prepaid
