US Mobile is powered by the T-Mobile and Verizon networks. They provide cheaper plans with the trusted coverage of major carriers.

They are known for their extreme flexibility. With a great selection of plan combinations available, there's something to fit everyone's individual talk, text, and data needs.

Keep your Verizon phone, number & coverage: Save $594 per year

They are competitive in pricing, plans, and coverage with other MVNOs like Mint Mobile, Red Pocket Mobile, Boost Mobile, and Tello.

Other carriers don't quite measure up. For example, Ting offers 22 GB of data for $45 on their unlimited plan. Google Fi requires at least 2 lines with 35GB for $40 per line, and the trial period is only 7 days. Xfinity Mobile is only available to Xfinity Internet customers for $30 a month per line. And that pricing is based on a 2-line minimum with only 20GB of data for each line.

Is US Mobile a good value?

Their plans include benefits that appeal to any budget. All plans have taxes and service fees included – no surprises. The Unlimited Starter is one of the best unlimited data plans on the market today. Highly rated customer satisfaction and overall positive experience add value. The ability to change or cancel your plan anytime is a good value for money across the board.

Network coverage

Does US Mobile have good network coverage?

Thanks to its partnership with both Verizon and T-Mobile, US Mobile customers have better coverage and flexibility than other cheap cell phone plan providers.

Verizon generally has a stronger network in rural areas, while T-Mobile provides better coverage in urban areas.

Does US Mobile have 5G coverage?

You can access 5G network coverage, where it is available, at no extra cost, with a 5G compatible device.

You will likely have less 5G connectivity if you are on the Verizon network. If you choose T-Mobile's network, it scores the highest in overall 5G experience in the United States, according to an Opensignal 5G Experience Report.

What are US Mobile's international calling features?

They have unlimited calls and texts from America to 200+ destinations.

You can also use international data, calls, and texts in over 100 countries while traveling abroad, but these features are only available with select plans.

Add a user-friendly app and website, and you have the perfect recipe for a top-notch wireless provider.

What are some common issues with US Mobile?

While most customers have shared their excellent experience, some common problems have come up.

Most of the complaints center around connectivity in certain areas. Some people report poor connections or lagtime in sending or receiving messages or calls.

US Mobile features

Phone selection

US Mobile offers customers a variety of phone options, ensuring they can find a device that suits their preferences, budget, and technical requirements.

What phones does US Mobile have?

You can bring your own phone or purchase a new one from US Mobile. US Mobile phones offer a selection of phones to buy, including some of the latest smartphones.

Whether you're looking for the most recent iPhone, a high-end Android smartphone, or a cost-effective refurbished device, US Mobile has something for you.

Additionally, they are revolutionizing the home phone industry by offering one of the best home phone plans. You can upgrade your home phone for under $10 a month without bundling it with the internet.

Can I bring my own phone to US Mobile?

You can bring your own device if your phone is compatible and unlocked.

This can help you stay on budget, save time, and avoid the endless upgrade cycles that big wireless companies like to lock customers into.

Also, check if your phone has a SIM card slot or if it's eSIM compatible. With eSIM, you can switch carriers instantly with a few taps on your smartphone.

Whether you buy a new phone or bring your own, you can guarantee an easy switch.

My viewpoint: Is US Mobile any good?

Short answer: With plans starting around $10 ($25 for unlimited plans) and a long free trial, US Mobile should be top on your list of considerations. They operate on the Verizon & T-Mobile networks, giving you the same coverage at more than half the cost. But no one plan or carrier is the best for everyone. I've done the research to help you make the best choice for your individual needs.

Is US Mobile worth it?

With various plans, an easy-to-use app, good overall coverage, and a no-risk free trial, I think US Mobile should be on your shortlist of low-cost carriers.

Multiple plan options make it a good fit for a range of users. The ludicrous data amount (100GB) on the highest tier plan isn't something I personally need, but it could be a good option for heavy data users.

Overall, US Mobile is a top-rated cell phone carrier for good reason. It's worth every penny, in my opinion.

Would I use US Mobile?

Short answer: I currently use US Mobile. I signed up for the free trial and loved the coverage and customer service so much that I continued service. With the eSIM and the app, my wireless service was up and running within an hour of porting my number. And I love the price tag of under $20 per month!

How we reviewed US Mobile

To select the best carriers and plans, MoneySavingPro's team of experts evaluated over 30 different carriers.

Carriers were rated in five categories, with a star rating from 1-5, with 5 stars being the best. We then calculate the overall star rating using the five categories:

  1. Value for money: We compare carriers based on price, features, benefits, and promotions. It's not just about the lowest price but getting the most bang for your buck.
  2. Coverage: We look at network 5G and 4G LTE coverage across the US. We use coverage maps to determine service availability and data speeds in urban, suburban, and rural locations.
  3. Customer experience: We take into account items such as current user experience, website and app usability, ease of switching, and customer service in terms of availability, channels, and satisfaction ratings.
  4. Transparency: We assess whether carrier pricing is clear and straightforward. We examine the fine print to check for hidden fees, confusing terms or conditions, and misleading offers to ensure upfront, honest prices and advertising.
  5. Range of choice: We evaluate the diversity of plan options to determine if they fit the individual needs of all customers.
