The cable representative told me my bill would be $80.00 if I signed up for automatic withdrawal. He also told me I would received a $300 visa card after 30 days, which was a straight out lie. My first month was $115 and the second month is projected to be $134.00.
Worst customer service experience ever with a cable tv and internet service company. My installation was not even completed as their equipment is not compatible with all smart TVs and then you have to purchase additional boxes at a cost of $100 ea and $10 a month (for me that was another 4 TVs). They mentioned Samsung and LG. That’s lie upfront to sell you the service. Then when I canceled without completed installation, it took me 1 and 1/2 hours the first day and 5 representatives. I had to call back more than 3 times for shipping labels to return equipment and return some to FEDEX and some to USPS. Then they billed BEFORE the date of installation for a month of service anyway, and I had to fight that. Then they billed me $120 for non return of equipment even though I had tracking numbers, and verification from the post office their agent had picked it up the day after I dropped it off. They lied to my bank, and said the charge was for services, even though I had a statement saying I had over a $50 credit. DONT DO IT!!
Our internet has stopped working twice in one month. First time it was down for 7 days before ATT fixed it. Just 2 weeks later it’s down again. After going through an hour call for the third time troubleshooting before they will call a technician that will come in 3 days. Unexceptionable.
"Loyal" customer by default. Captured user unless I elect satellite service. Only big player in my area. Fiber is in areas around me and have been for years. Have been promising for last 5 years to come to my area. Close city to Atlanta.
Dealing with their overcharges since trying to cut bill back when the pandemic began in April. Alas, there have been overcharge s every month, requiring hours on the phone every month trying to get them to bill as promised.
been out of internet tv and home phone for 8 days and keep getting the run around. scheduled an appointment for repair and they cancelled and told me i have to wait another week to 10 days before anyone can come out
The cable constantly goes out and when you call them for assistance they keep you on the phone for a long time without resolving the issue. Internet sucks and goes out. The billing is horrible. They keep changing my due date and no one can explain why this happens. On top of that they add a late charge. This is the worst internet/cable provider I’ve ever had. As soon as another provider services in my area I will kiss them goodbye. Avoid them if you can.
We get 5-10 robo calls/day many using same number but I am allowed to block only three as AT&T says we have old DSL system. I have hundreds blocked with my cell phone with Verizon. AT&T too lazy to fix its system but quick to increase rates. My internet goes done 3-4 times a day but they wont replace 10 year old router; said its the best they have. Sad sad company
On or about February 11, 2020 I found an offer from AT&T (see screenshot attached). The offer advertised Internet service+Uverse 300 TV for $104.99 per month. I called the number (844-888-4256) and ordered the Bundle offered for $104.99 per month. The order was placed and installation was scheduled. The installers connected the system on February 15. The installer who was going over the equipment list and loading up passwords asked what I was quoted and I told him $104.99, showed him the online offer and took a screenshot of the offer at the same time.
Between February 15th and March 1st we lost Internet/TV service 3 times while the system required rebooting.
According to the Internet offer the billing should approximate
$104.00 basic fee
$ 10.00 internet equipment fee
$. 9.99 broadcast and additional fees (maximum)
$ 124.98 sub total
$. 9.43. Tax @.07%
$ 134.41 monthly total billing.
On March 2, 2020 I received my first bill, for $195.01. I called customer service to get what appeared to be a billing error corrected. I was advised the actual bill would be $158 per month as the agent would be glad to waive the one time $35 equipment fee.
I explained that amount did not comport with the offer I contracted over and that If AT&T would not honor the offer I’d like to cancel the service. The AT&T agent advised me that I was outside the return window of 14 days (by one day) and that AT&T would not pro-rate my bill and additionally, I would be charged a $360.00 early termination fee.
I have not yet terminated the service to avoid the penalty payment.
I’m honoring my part of the contract, was willing to pay for the 12 month subscription as advertised. I should not have to pay a penalty for poor service (3 times service interrupted in 15 days) and AT&T’s refusal to honor their Internet/TV U-verse 300 service for $104.99 as advertised.
Have to call another number to talk to a landline rep. Would think if you bundled internet and phone the same rep could help youl
Nothing is right, too pricey
In 4 years my package price rose from 67 dollars to 204. No help except "promotions" which expire and then the price keeps going up.
Am a loyal customer and they wont even negotiate a good price for us to stay with them. They put us down in the u200 channels and took away alot of channels and gave me a price that i dont think it is worth it!! i had u300 plus showtime and they raised the bill clear up from 118 to 191 and i will not pay that, now they wont give us the u300 back unles we pay up to 156 dollars! THATS TOO MUCH TO PAY!! I AM THINKING OF GOING TO ANOTHER COMPANY SOON.. jUST GOTTA CHECK AND FIND THE ONE WHO WILL NEGOTIATE A GOOD PRICE FOR US! I AM NOT HAPPY AT THIS TIME!!
Mother , 90 + years old pays over $70. 00 a month for a landline that she hardly uses. Of course we understand AT & T and other providers want to stop Landline service. But, the elderly do not use internet and cannot afford Cable TV . AT& T and other providers are supposed to be Public Service Utilities but they’re a bunch of monopolizing Racketeers gouging the elderly and low income. How sad they are !
price goes up and up and up
This AT&T is not the 'good mother Bell' that I worked for!!! I called to question my October bill because a promotional plan was removed without any notice. They back billed me a month, plus billed the current month. So the rep must have had a bad morning and the answer was to disconnect my entire AT&T service bundle. But then they also billed me for 27 more days in the billing cycle ahead because they don't prorate your charges from the time they disconnect until the end of the billing period. I would never recommend AT&T to anyone ever!!!! Worst service!!!
had U verse for two years, was told I couldn't go back to Basic phone service. Took me two years to find out from an honest representative what I was told was a lie. so now I have basic phone service that start out as $37 a month and after all their fees and a lot of features I don't use or need I now pay $50. Only feature I want is caller ID so I wont have to answer all these robot, scammer calls. The only reason I'm with at&t and not cable phone is the fact that when the power goes out I can still use my phone. I'm really leaning toward taking my chances and letting them go.
constantly lie about high speed internet but still charge you for it. Can't stream anything because it's too slow. They are good about raising your prices though.
Horrible, prices for just a landline for an 85 year old astronomical. Customer service not helpful and rude unless you want to bundle everything with them. If you can actually talk to someone with a pulse.
Very unreliable. 45 minute wait to talk to someone
Had DirecTV for years and loved it until it was acquired by AT&T. BAD INTERFACE and MANY MORE COMMERCIALS
landline went out all the time and they were in no hurry to fix it. Although they were more than willing to take my money each month with both fists and you have to buy out of their contract to get rid of them. they were horrible.
My grandma has been with att for decades. The price fitted up and up. Currently charging her over $80 a month for basic landline with no internet our any other features. Looking at the bill her phone calls only add up to about $15 with the rest being fees. Would give a negative score of possible.
I signed up with AT&T because it was $15 cheaper than what I had and the sales guy said it was faster. He also said that I could cancel any time and there was no contract. Well, it was not nearly as fast as what I had and, since I stream TV, internet speed was very important. When I went to cancel, they said that I would be accessed a $135 early exit charge. When I told them that I was told that I could cancel anytime without charge, they informed me that it's right there buried in the pages of "terms and conditions" that they hope nobody closely reads. They said that perhaps they could speed things up if I'd give them another chance. I told them that I would happily pay the $135 to disassociate myself with such a dishonest company.
