Freedompop Phone Deals

When it comes to phones your options are limited through Freedompop. But there are ways around that. With Freedompop you can do any of the following things:

  1. Bring your own phone –Freedompop operates on both GSM and CDMA networks, so you'll have not trouble bringing your device from any other carriers. You'll just want to change the APN settings (don't worry, it's easy) and you should make sure your device is unlocked.
  2. Buy a new phone – This carrier offers a limited number of devices online through their store – and by unlimited we mean there are four options. However, it's worth noting that you have to pay the full price of the phone upfront and you can't make monthly payments on the device.
  3. Buy a refurbished phone -You'll save the most money - up to 50% off retail - by shopping for refurbished phones compatible with Freedompop. Compare prices and features on all your favorite Android and Apple devices from reputable sellers.

Once you have your device be sure to order your Freedompop SIM card online.

Key Considerations

If you're new to the MVNO scene, here are a few questions

Freedompop plans give you coverage from the Sprint and AT&T 4G LTE networks for half the price! That's some major money you'd be saving! It comes at a price though – you can only get 3GB of data. Remember to compare their deals with cheap cell phone plans from other low-cost carriers before making your decision.

You can save even more money with your plan by purchasing a refurbished smartphone instead of a new phone.

If you choose to buy refurbished, it's well worth selling your old device for some extra change!

OMG -- FreedomPop -- stay away - far away!

You cant get hold of live person -- and if you can - like the sales dept -- they just transfer you to automated support.

WAY too easy to go over the "free" 200 meg data - and when you do (and u easily will) - bam! - $20 "credit up" charge on your credit card.

and every month at least a couple charge fees to keep your account active.

so -- I want to find out if I'm gonna get a refund for canceling service; and from the website (or by phone if you call in, ie. the stupid automated system) -- both says to put in a ticket.

but to put in a ticket you have to a premium support fee of $6 a month -- forget that!!!

so YOU CANT put in a ticket!!

Pay $6 for a question of whether I will get any kind of refund ??!! -- again forget that!!!

I ended up canceling out of complete frustration.

Then found their "terms and service agreement" -- it basically says "no refunds" - so now im out another $28 from canceling 2 devices.

worse piece of crap internet hotspot service company I've ever had.
