We're here to help you gauge whether this MVNO is right for you, or if one of the other dozens of AT&T MVNOs deserves your loyalty.

h2o Wireless Pricing: Is it Competitive?

h2o WirelessAT&T 4G LTE4GB$30$360
Saving$45$540

As far as plans go h2o Wireless has you covered! You can choose from three categories with h2o Wireless:

  1. Monthly Unlimited - Unlimited meaning unlimited talk and text (including international). For data you can choose from 1GB all the way up to 10 GB. As you can see from the chart though, the average AT&T user on an unlimited plan uses less than 4 GB of data/month so you should be set!
  2. Pay as you Go - With this you pay per text, mms, minute, and data. This plan is ideal for anyone who isn't always attached to their phone. It works best for seniors.
  3. Multi-Line (family) - Bundle your family phone plan together and get discounted rates through h2o Wireless.

Key Considerations When Choosing h2o Wireless

The idea of choosing an MVNO over the big four can be scary if you're just now hearing about them. But the reality is they've been here a long time! You'll want to gather some info though before committing to a plan:

  • Do you NEED unlimited data?
  • Do you need a single-line plan or a family plan?
  • Are you going to purchase a new phone or bring your own phone (BYOP)?
  • Do you want to keep your existing phone number?

Coverage

h2o Wireless leases coverage from the largest GSM network (AT&T). You can view h2o Wireless' coverage map here. This means in many parts of the country you'll have access to 4G LTE connection speeds when using data. Along with fast connection speeds, you have good service reliability for talk and sending text messages.

If you want to learn about how AT&T fares against Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile, then you should refer to our coverage maps.

h2o Wireless Phone Options

The h2o Wireless website only has a few phones availible for you to purchase through them. However, the good news is you can BYOP and either way, you can keep your old number.

Keep in mind no matter what you do you need a GSM phone. How do you know if your current phone is GSM compatible? Well, if you're already on the AT&T or T-Mobile networks then your phone is GSM. If you are on the Sprint or Verizon network you'll either have to unlock your phone or purchase a new one.

No matter what network you transfer from, if you BYOP you need to own it outright meaning if you still make monthly payments you'll have to pay that off before you switch.

You can save even more money though if you purchase a refurbished h2o wireless device to accompany your low-cost plan!

Either way, you'll need to adjust the h2o Wireless APN settings for whatever capable device you bring.

Once you have your device you can order your h2o Wireless SIM card online.

Recap

An h2o Wireless plan gives your AT&T 4G LTE network for almost half the price. That's a lot of extra money in your pocket!

You can save even more by purchasing a refurbished h2o Wireless phone instead of paying out of pocket for a new phone.

If you choose to buy refurbished consider selling your old device with one of these reputable sellers.

Don't feel the need to just take our word for it - find out what real customers are saying with our h2o Wireless user reviews. Or you can compare them to other AT&T MVNOs before making your decision.
