h2o Wireless data plans
Plans from the carrier start at 2GB and go up to 30GB 4G LTE with Unlimited +. So there's a range of options for you.
The main difference between their two unlimited plans is the Unlimited + plan supports the use of a hotspot.
h2o Wireless data speeds
With H20, your set-data plan will be powered 4G LTE. Be aware that once you've used your data allowance your phone will significantly slow down as download speeds will be throttled. AT&T also prioritize their customers over H20 customers. Your cell might slow down if it has to compete for coverage with other AT&T customers.
At this time, 5G is not offered by this carrier, but 4G will still bring broadband speeds to your phone.
h2o Wireless features
Your messages can be used internationally, and minutes will work to call over 70 countries. You also get a small amount of international call credit with most plans.
Keep in mind though, there are restrictions to their international offering. To call more countries you'll need an add on, and international roaming is not offered by this carrier right now. Also, you can only call a maximum of 15 international numbers each month, and these calls are cut at 60minutes. You can call them right back after your time runs out.
Signing up for multiple months will drive the price of your cell phone plan down with h2o Wireless. You can sign up for as many as 54 months. Be aware this does mean you lose the flexibility and freedom which comes with a rolling monthly contract.
h2o Wireless family plans
There are two multi-line options with h2o Wireless, either a two-line plan, or four-line plan. Each device gets 6GB of LTE data, unlimited talk and text, plus international talk to 70 countries.
h2o Wireless customer service
Take a look at the table below to see how this carrier compares to the big networks out there.
TRUSTPILOT USER RATING
h2o Wireless customer service phone number: 1-800-643-4926
Usually, the low cost alternative's customer satisfaction score is much higher in comparison to the big networks. But in the case of h2o Wireless, there's not a huge difference. There are reasons for that, let's take a look.
Their customer support offering isn't the best you can find from a low cost carrier. It can be tricky to get an issue resolved, so you'll need to be patient and have time to spend talking through any hitches or hurdles.
Unlimited data options are pricey, and their international offering comes with a load of restrictions. We can see why this carrier hasn't scored higher, but we'd still suggest trying them if you're a light phone user. Read some more h2o Wireless user reviews on our site.

How to switch to h2o Wireless
Let's break it down:
Choose a plan with h2o Wireless. The more months you buy, the more money you save.
Prepare to make the switch. Make sure old bills are paid and your phone is unlocked if you're bringing your own device.
Set up your new plan. Keep your current carrier account open until your number has ported over. Once you're sure your new plan is up and running, cancel your old one. You can port your number online. If you're bringing your own phone, you'll need to insert your h2o Wireless SIM into your device and turn it on. If you've opted for a new device, it should come ready to go. The whole porting process should happen pretty fast, but in some cases can take up to 24 hours.
Bring your own phone to h2o Wireless
h2o Wireless will simply provide you with a prepaid SIM card. You pop it into your cell phone and follow the provider's instructions. You need an unlocked phone (meaning your carrier has released it for use on another network). You can check that your phone is compatible with h2o Wireless before you sign up and the rest is a breeze.
Just make sure you don't cancel your current phone plan until you've ported your phone number over to the new carrier.
