Is Red Pocket phone service any good?

Worst customer service

Shut off data three months in a row but I’m on auto pay and they shut it off after bill is paid then call customer service they shut off phone calls

No service, no refund

Bought a year's worth of their plan. I can't get on the network half the time, making calling impossible unless you're on WiFi. I wasted what precious time I have on customer service, and I couldn't even get a refund.

Terrible Coverage. No Customer Service.

I’ve been delivering for work and my internet has stopped for extended periods yet I purchased the 10GB ‘unlimited’ plan. You need to manually set up voicemail or it will ring busy which is exceptionally annoying because people call twice, sometimes three times in a row if you don’t have voicemail. I reset my network and all of a sudden my voicemail stopped working. I was at work, screening calls, so the people called again. Irritating and when I called them back they thought it was odd. I think they’re prioritized so far below the carriers the coverage is worthless. You get what you pay for. Customer service people speak another language so communication is difficult.

Get out unless you have lots of time

They did not know how to transfer number internally, let alone from other companies. Poor customer service and they never can resolve any problem.

If I can rate in negative I would.

Their service is the worst. Every other day my phone service is down, can't get text messages and phone calls and their customer service are unable to resolve this any time. They are definitely losing one customer here and my recommendation would be to not get into their plan. It is not worth anyone's time and money.

Awful company! I would say even the worst company!

Don’t deal with them! I’ve spent about 3 months to port my old number to this company after buying a yearly plan from them. And finally they did not port my old number but activated it with a new number that I did not asked for. And now they cant provide me with a refund for a yearly plan, because the plan was activated!!!! With a new number (because of their fault, not mine). Awful company!!! Just the worst I ever had deal with.

Shocking customer service

I wanted to purchase an eSIM and researched a number of similar low price no contract providers as this is a temporary option having just arrived in the USA for work. I called up and walked through the process with the telesales advisor on the phone while I made the purchase on the website (as the eSIM purchase is only avaiable on 1 network and not with a simple means to add to the cart). I followed each step and after making the $30 payment I discovered I had just purchased a GSM SIM and was told I could not change it to an eSIM order! Since then, I have collectively been on hold with their customer service for over 4 hours!!!! Multiple individuals, many who I can barely understand their english (on one occassion I had to cut the call and redial). They seem incapable of cancelling the transaction or transferring the order to supply an eSIM!! If you value your time then find a different service provider because if things go wrong then you effectively have no support!!!

I never wanted to be negative!!!

I set up a new account for my 13 year old daughter, then I would switch. I purchased a new iPhone for her and financed it. Had no option to add a protection plan, was messaged I could add it later after phone arrived. Unfortunately I live in Ohio, this not an option!!! I now am paying for an iPhone for a 13 year old that I was promised there would be coverage on!!! I AM SO ANGRY!! I have been on Verizon for over 20 years and was hoping there was something new out here!! ***Carl from Red Pocket tried his hardest for over an hour to rectify the issue, customer service was priceless!! Unfortunately I need additional coverage for my young family.❤️

AT&T towers great service. Auto pay, no complaints

Initial activation issues, called phone was answered problem was solved.

Red pocket service is garbage.

Red pocket cut out my service 18 times in 8 months. They never fixed it I always had to. Endless poor customer service that only wasted hours of my time. Then this last month and a half I have had to fight several times a day to get it to work via settings. Several emails and countless waiting over the last month and a half still no fix. Now it has been 10 months of the service cutting out and they refuse to fix it.

Worst customer support, bad service and policies!

I had a Family plan for more than two year and with recent recharge all the phones stopped working no data, text or calling. Spent more than 5 hours with technical support and it was not resolved, they asked to wait up to 72 hours to resolve it! Even though it was just two days on new billing cycle with no working service they wouldn't want to refund! Very bad customer support and unethical company refund policy.

worked great until i had to renew this year then the problems mounted, dropped calls, service not available, or would quit altogether. tried to get a hold of costumer service for 3 days straight and evryone that i did get a hold of said they fixed the problem but none of the solutions worked. have a new phone (galxay s22 ultra)and no problem with other carriers that i tried only red pocket seems to have problems. stay away from this carrier

I stayed on the phone for 3 hours just to talk to them, they always put you on hold for a long time

It is the worst customer service

After three weeks still no resolution on why the phone doesn't work. They created a ticket after three weeks and no communication whatsoever afterward.

I have 2 unlocked LG 5g From AT&T.

For some reason my LG v60 5g and my LG velvet stop working . Open several tickets and no resolution . Im porting my units

Customer service is beyond Pathetic.

Estimated 500 min wait time using instant chat. Super slow and extra steps required to port number out to new provider. 24 hours and still waiting to port out number

Service is worst!!!!

To be fair, I have used RP for about 5 years with no problems. My gripe is what happens when I do have a problem. I am a victim of the 3g to 4g switchover. My new 4g phone does not work on Red Pocket GSMA. Calling RP help is worthless. Wait time can be hours . When I do get them, they can't figure out the problem. They say they are escalating the problem and I will be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. I've called them 3 times with the same response. It's been 2 weeks and they still haven't contacted me. My wife has the same 4g phone. She saw the problems I am having, so she bailed from RP and went to the local T-Mobile store. She got a new, similarly priced prepaid plan and was out the door with a working phone in 30 minutes.

Terrible customer service. Calls are not answered. The company has made it difficult to even switch card payment options. They hide the account numbers and the pin codes! If you ask, they respond why do you need this data? Will you switch service and so on>>>. With this kind of business ethics, it will not stay long in business... Folks find another carrier!
