Is Mint Mobile phone service any good?
Cheap
Mint Mobile is just too good to be true but it's a dream come true. I pay so much less for triple the data and I couldn't be happier! Love the service (and the mascot!), I get to keep my old phone number, and I can prepay months in advance to save even more money. What's not to love about Mint Mobile?
Reliable, affordable
Mint Mobile is so reliable and I don't have to worry about the monthly bill after prepaying for a whole year. This is the best plan I've ever had. Thanks Mint!
Inexpensive
Mint Mobile is good enough for me. Price is really good and you'll save a lot of money each month. Service isn't like Verizon's but it works for me.
Price
Price is really good but coverage isn't great where I live. It works but could be a lot better.
Great deal
Wow this is such a great deal!! I thought it was too good to be true but it wasn't! I get unlimited talk and text and 12gb each month for 3 months for less than what I pay monthly at Verizon. All you need is an unlocked phone and you're good to go. Good service and value. I'm definitely renewing once my contract is up!
Customer service
I purchased the 3 month plan for the first time during a sale event but when I received my card and activated the service, I was given fewer GB than what Mint advertised. I contacted them but they told me that it was my fault that I didn't activate it during the sale and the promo ended. Seems a little unreasonable when your card didn't arrive until after the sale.
Service
Absolutely love Mint and its services! Much less expensive compared to other carriers!
Poor customer service
Mint Mobile was great back when it was called Mint SIM. Now, customer service is awful. They keep suggesting a different solution when I wanted to switch from Mint Mobile after noticing a drop in call quality for weeks now. Wasn't even granted a partial refund despite being unable to use the service. Mint is just as greedy as the big providers!
Pretty inexpensive
Mint Mobile says you're throttled after 12GB but that's not true. After I used up the 12GB I paid for I was cut off from the internet. Going to switch to Hello Mobile.
Cheap
You know the saying, you get what you pay for? Well, that's Mint Mobile in a nutshell. There are more useful ways of using your phone: toss your phone in a ditch, run it over with a truck, toss it off a mountain, throw it in a lake... any of those is better than running your phone on a Mint Mobile service. Poor coverage, dropped calls galore. You're better off with a different provider.
Affordable
If you're looking for something that won't break your budget you should check out mint. It's a very good choice for what you pay for!
Coverage, speed
I'm so happy I switched to Mint Mobile! Coverage is always fantastic and it's so cheap and fast. I prepaid for a whole year and have no regrets!
Service, value
I've had Mint Mobile for a little over 8 months. The value, phone and data are all great! I never seem to run out of data no matter how much I use! Very happy with Mint Mobile!
None
Mint Mobile is good for my secondary. Cheap enough so I don't need tethering from my main phone.
Inconsistent service
It was at first okay until I swapped to using my phone to make income. Unfortunately mint is too inconsistent to conduct business, which means I'm losing money every minute mint has an outage.
Good product
Good product. Recommending to my friends and family
Service
I read reviews saying Mint had great everything: customer service, prices, and reliability. The only good thing about it was the price. The service is absolutely horrible even with Wifi calling turned on. Dropped calls and bad call quality sums up my experience with Mint. It may be cheaper than Boost Mobile, but it sure isn't better.
Service
Mint Mobile unfortunately doesn't do what I need to do, and that is having strong service in the areas I travel. I travel quite a bit between New York and New Jersey and Mint Mobile barely works (or doesn't work at all) in some areas I travel through. It's not dependable at all - dropped calls are all too common, which is frustrating when I depend on my phone for my job.
Fast shipping
SIM card delivered faster than expected. Was usable straight out of the box. Great service.
Price, value
I bought a Mint Mobile plan for my daughter who mainly needed a phone for after her after school activities so she can contact us when she needed us to come get her. For $15 a month, there wasn't much to lose if Mint Mobile didn't work out. So far it's been worth the price. The signal is just about as good as my provider's signal and it is super easy to use. The only downside is that the website isn't the easiest to figure out. But customer support will help you if you c…an't find your way around it.
