Is Spectrum Mobile phone service any good?

everything to do with having a cell phone

extremely a pain in the butt to activate website is not user friendly, poor customer service, its a rip off!

Customer service

We called to set our mom’s account up after the loss of our father and the representative didn’t tell us about auto billing and we called spectrum back and spoke to a manager by the name of Chris on 9/3/20 at 7:09 pm ticket number 124367433 and he assured me that the total amount would be created back to the card for the amount of $71.00 and they only credited back only $21.80 Chris told me they were new to the cell business and they didn’t know a lot about it so I called they on 10/2/20 around 10:30 and the rep total me I had the wrong address then hung up the phone I work in customer and this is not the way to do business

This was the worst business experience I have ever had in my life. Please do not waste your time with spectrum.

Plan

The plan which was supposed to be unlimited wasn't and because of that we have to pay exactly $561 to get out of it they only want your money do NOT get it YOU will regret it once again please don't get it

Signal and service

I never had a problem with spectrum in the beginning besides getting a phone that the speaker was messing up so I exchanged and got the 11 now my phone ring low even when it turned up high, my phone breaks up and i can barely ft with my spouse when needed smh. Never dropped the phone or got water in it. Now i got 2 bars, can barely watch videos and etc. definitely leaving this company tomorrow

More fraud

They lied about how their data plan multiple times, charged me $600, and refuse to fix the issue. I'll be dumping and suing them. Truly horrible customer service

They did not even show up for two appointments

Spectrum can suck shit. Their service is the worst I have ever had. Their customer service reps have no clue what they are doing and their install techs don't even show up for installs.

Internet

If the internet is terrible and slow how can the Mobil be good. Try to watch a movie and it buffers and repeats itself.

I ordered a spectrum mobile phone, it came defected from day 1, I called customer service they explained that they would send me FedEx return labels so I can return the defected device and they would send me the replacement phone right away. They did send me the replacement, however when they received the defected item they charged me a restocking fee. I clearly thought it was a mistake and when I called the first time they told me it was a mistake because it was a replacement not a return that a lead would get back to me with the refund information. 1 month passed, I called again spoke to a MANAGER, he told me that they charged a restocking fee because I opened the box which doesn't make sense at all. How would I know that the device was defected and not to open it? This just does not make sense at all. I guess this is a new method for the company to survive? I will dump this service now!

Phone has been using my data when it's supposed to be using my Wi-Fi. I told him I only use Wi-Fi at home. all the tiktok charges were suppose to be on Wi-Fi not data. They won't do anything about it

SHITTY COVERAGE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

It was terrible the salesperson was in a hurry on the phone and didn't listen correctly to what I was looking for ended up getting shipped to the wrong address on top of that they sent me a piece of s*** iPhone SE turns out spectrum is a waste of money you don't get full coverage on the so-called Verizon network I ended up getting two signal bars I'm hoping to go to T-Mobile because they have excellent signal quality everything works perfect on the T-Mobile network as far as streaming and signal coverage not once did my father ever drop a call or lose data connections T-Mobile's coverage is one hell of a lot better than stupid Spectrum mobile

Customer service is beyond horrible

The phone could not be activated by the incompetents who just switched me from one department to the next for days and hours. Or they just hung up on me plus I was on hold forever. Then when they can’t activate the phone they give you an endless amount of crap when you try to return it. Whoever is reading this skip spectrum mobile and the headache.

They are a rip off

I signed up for their services and they tole me that my Brand new galaxy S20 5G was not comapatable and I would have to buy a new phone from them, thaey would give me 600 for my phone that I just paid 1000 for, Ok. I ordered all the hardware and chips and the new phone. When the order came in, there were 2 Galaxy S20s, I called them trying to straighten this out, The gentalman I was talking to told me that they were not going to give my the 600 for my Brand new phone, I told them that I was returning everything and I wanted my money back, he said ok he understood. I returned everythin as is, Still in the package. when my refund was competed they gave me back 90 dollars and kept 150.00 for damages and restocking. Even though I returned a phone that was not even on my envoice, could have kept the phone and told them it was for re-stocking. No envoice on that phone but I still returned it,

Customer service their phones

I ordered a new phone which was faulty and would not work. I cancelled my service and when I called to find out how to send back their faulty phone they told me it was past 14 days and when I canceled service I also cancelled any return policy. So now they are charging me for a phone I can not use.

Customer Service reps have no idea

Back on Sept. 9, 2020 my Mobile bill was due for $98.67 I am unemployed for 5 weeks and have not yet received my benefits so I could not pay my bill of 09/09/20 called them on 09/18/20 and was told 30 minute wait but waited for 40 minutes and rep was rude and said Covid is over so they don't have to help with past due any longer. on 09/21/20 @ 11:11am my service was disconnected and now they are still charging me from 09/20/20 and I had service for 1 day and charges are already up to $53.67 but disconnected Sept. 21 after disconnected I called and asked to speak with a supervisor when I spoke with Megan; she explained there was nothing she could do but she would get a supervisor so after like 40 minutes I finally spoke with I think his name was Steve and he was somewhat cocky with me and I explained the situation and he too said there was nothing they could do to help me Covid ended end of June, he said pay the bill and I will get reconnected but how with no money? While doing research I found some interesting information within Spectrum Mobiles regulations in regards to Suspended Service for Nonpayment and it found something that they hid from people "Important Billing Information - After 32 days of nonpayment of your monthly bill, you'll experience a service interruption. You won't be able to make calls, send text messages or access data on the Spectrum Mobile network If your account balance remains unpaid, your service will be suspended after 62 days. You won't be able to make or receive calls and text messages, or use data. If you have a Protection Plan for your device(s), it will be canceled and can’t be reinstated. After 90 days, your Spectrum Mobile service will be disconnected" So what this is stating that the service interruption should not have occurred for 32 days from Sept. 9, 2020 which would be Oct. 11, 2020. So they are not following their billing procedures they are doing what they want to do this was found right within Spectrum Mobile information. bill for $53.67 but disconnected Sept. 21, 2020 that doesn't make sense? So they lie and do what they want.

Spectrum is just plain horrible

I ordered service, was tols it would be 3 days before payment was processed. I told her I'd prefer to wait to order service til the end of the week but was assured nothing would be billed until later on. As soon as we hung up the phone I was billed and the next thing I knew I waa also being billed for internet and tv. Spectrum is horrible

spectrum mobile was the worst phone company I have ever used I stopped using them a year ago and I still am on hold with them today for over 2 hours trying to unlock my phone I will never ever use anything from spectrum ever again.
