Is Spectrum Mobile phone service any good?

Not worth switching

You are forced to purchase plans they think will work for you.. went from 14.$ a month to 93$

It is not a cellular Store

You cannot see any phones

Horrible, terrible, awful customer service. Everything is great until you need help with something. Hours and hours on hold or driving to what is listed as a "store" online but isn't actually a store. NOT worth the money to switch. Do NOT do it!

I thought I was getting a deal coming from Verizon

Connectivity is slow while you’re within the plan GB if you go over it’s even worse almost like your phone doesnt work. It’s not worth it for the money you save complete garbage. Keep your plan with the large provider. I’m hating myself for this as soon as my month is over I’m switching back to Verizon

Customer service are not trained diff answer each

Terrible customer service was told could use a ohine number then had to pay full price for ohine and could not use number we requested. Sent iPhone Se back with aim card trey in box. They stated was sent back with no SIM card trey which was untrue so they will not give our money back. Then we told them to send I’m the ohine back since won’t give money back they sent the ohine back with no iPhone charger or headphones no apple box. So I did. It get what I paid for. . I tried several times to realize this with no help. Don’t like to be taken advantage of just because they are a larger company. Then they called my home after 9pm .

no service

Where do I begin? Decided to switch our 2 phones from Apple products on Sprint to Samsung products on Spectrum. The phones came, and it took me days to get all the data (contacts/apps/photos, etc.) transferred correctly since the folks at the Spectrum mobile store had no idea how to do it. Multiple calls over 2 weeks' time finally got them up and running, but discovered that we had to drive 8 miles away to get 3 bars. Otherwise, it worked fine in our house on the wifi. Their coverage map said our neighborhood was covered (I live in LA, not the middle of nowhere!). Another 2 hours on the land line, can never talk to a supervisor, can't trade in the unusable phones without a $50 'restocking fee'', the whole mess makes me crazy. They are sending us 2 new phones as trade-ins, and I guarantee that it's the service rather than the hardware that is the problem. Ready to call the PUC about this or simply cancel the charge on our credit card.

The speed after 20 g

They are not really unlimited if they throttle you down after 20 g just saying, so I will probably be dumping them and going back to Verizon.

I have two phone lines at 45/month. I discovered i was being charged 20 service charge per line per month for not having internet with them except i DO have internet with them. Their mistake and they only want to refund 100 dollars and not the entire year that they have been overcharging you. Thieves

Customer service reps have no clue as to anything.

Bad. I spent 3 hours trying to unlock a new phone from these people. One rep does not even understand (or pretended not to) why people would need to have their phones unlocked.

Customer service is the WORST

They sent me a SIM card that doesn’t work. I have to reset my settings every day, just to get messages/VM from non Apple users, which means I have to re-scan my face, re-do passcodes, re-enter WiFi password, etc. It’s tedious. I’ve called for help before and was told to reset my phone settings, so that’s what I do. Today, I was on hold for an hour and fifteen minutes (an automated message said the wait time was 25-45min) until a rep got on and told me that “since you don’t want to troubleshoot”, that she has to send me a new SIM card. I explained that I’ve called before and have been troubleshooting for months, but I’d like the device and service that I pay for monthly to work the way it’s supposed to. She finally agreed to send me a new SIM card, but she had to clear it with a lead first. This took another 10 minutes on hold.

Worse network ever.

Breaking up connection due to very poor signal. I’m in Charlotte,NC and after many years with Boost Mobile, I decided to switch to Spectrum to consolidate cable and cellphone services in one bill. I ended up with no consolidation at all because the bill separately and also the Spectrum Mobile Network is extremely poor compared with Boost Mobile what is also cheaper.

Could Not Convert my Phone

Spent an hour in the store while rep tried to get their system to work. Finally decided that he failed and offered to mail me the card to convert my phone myself. After a week I called to find out why it had not arrived. After an hour on the phone, figured out there was nothing they were willing to do to get the card to me (it was sitting in a FedEx office, wrong address, but they would not call FedEx and tell them where to send it. They also would not send a card out to my correct address). So no Spectrum Mobile for me.

Awful customer service they sold me defective phon

Just awful customer service does not care. Called numerous times to resolve long hold times awful management.

You have to pay on time or service is interupted

I literly needed to extend one week from my service interruption date and they would be paid in full. You think they would be helpful and have a way to extend it but no they supposedly can't or won't idk. Only place that does this. Now i have no gas or no food money because of them. Enjoy watching me starve spectrum.

Customer service

It's been a nightmare no Network signal where I live from my cell phone can't get anybody to call me back or get back with me from Spectrum I'm waiting for a return authorization which was promised a call today

Hour wait time and still simple question unanswere

Horrible service. They are an internet and phone provider that has archaic service. Can't even escalate to a supervisor. Another really long wait time fir the agent to type questions to a supervisor

Customer service absolutely HORRENDOUS!

I spent the past two months trying to get shipping labels for my two old phones for the “credit”! It is still not done yet. I’ve threatened legal action against them. They do not care! I’ve spent over six hours on the phone and two nasty letters to the corporate offices. Still nothing!
