Is Xfinity Mobile phone service any good?

They could be good...but are not

These people are dangerously injurious, and in the most clumsily blindly unnecessary manner. I suffered a concussion some days ago, and just yesterday I needed to talk to a service provider due to a problem their animated system simply could not help me with (tell me why my cell would not allow me to link a security camera I was trying to install in my house). The system would not pass me onto a customer service provider no matter how many time I asked…and in the process I had to scream my lungs out of the extreme frustration…since their system it clearly seems designed to torture human being rather than to help customers. That company doesn’t seem to know what human psychology is, neither what commonsense is. Their representative also in occasions, behave also like a disease, just like their telephone system…I had to hang up the other day at one since he would not either pass me with a supervisor I requested him too. And the thing is basically that I am so frustrated with the endless lies their local office or outlet have been throwing into me for this over three years…they literally do nothing else but lie to me, especially about the cellphone which they say is knew, charge you as if knew, yet the machine doesn’t work properly…most of people can’t listen to my voice either because of noise or and because of coming in and out of the conversation (basically a potential life threat in case of emergency); this is the third so called knew phone that I have and since being with them none of their phones work right, absolutely none even when they charge you as if they were knew for them and more than tell you, swear to you they are knew. (In an occasion at the beginning of my contract with them an hyper cynical so called manager of that local store basically robbed me over $150 making me buy a phone which allege better camera I needed, and all through miss information, and I ended up returning the phone and losing the money since he would not give it back to me.) The only reason I have stayed with them is because in the end they seem to be the most effordable company…although, you may suffer serious injuries just in the process of trying to deal with their terrible incompetence and or their lack of integrity or honesty (not that AT&T where much more honest that they are). But definitely this people can be seriously dangerous to deal with them or their systeme and their absurdly incompetent lack of commonsense or honesty. Because of them and them I seriously aggravated my concussion, pressure in my brain went up, my head began hurting and I have been suffering insomnia, and all due to the extreme frustration and screaming I had to endure the other night with their terrible animated system. They could be the best if they acted with some commonsense, and definitely with integrity or stopped unnecessarily or absurdly lying to you; since, after all their prices are quite good. (I'm happy with their cable comcast, though)

The Absolute Worst!!!

I had no cell service in my home so I cancelled the plan 15 days after signing up with them. I was told that I had 30 days to decide to stay or keep the service. When I cancelled and tried to return the Iphone 13 they said I was past the 14 day grace period and had to either continue with payments on the phone or pay it out right. I paid the phone off in full and then they told me that they could not unlock the phone so that I could take it to another carrier bc I didnt have service with them for more than 60 days. Their sales people are con artist. Dont fall for it! Im sorry that I didnt see the negative comments prior to making the switch.

Way too overpriced!

Are we really paying $2500 or more per year to have a few non-premium channels and medium speed Internet? This is crazy! If 10 people on our block subscribe, we’re paying $25,000 a year to watch an hour Or two per night once we unwind from work to watch South Park and 600 pound life. That $70 an hour to waste! Does any of us even make that at work?

Save your self the ongoing stress of trying to get good service and coverage with this company. I have been with Xfinity mobile since July 20 21 and right off the bat it has been nothing but issues. I lease an iPhone 11 and still and paying $25 a month for it with almost $500 due this phone is free at Verizon who actually offers more data and a lower price than Xfinity. You cannot get a hold of a real person through the one 800 number unless you press the right keys but it is really hard to figure out. I needed to speak to a person about a payment plan when I got Covid, and when I called it said that I needed to pay my bill before they would allow me to speak to someone. A few times I was connected with a representative over chat in which I spent over an hour each time explaining why I needed help which was the fact that my voicemail was nonexistent, my speeds were very slow, coverage was not what they said it would be (I am in Colorado Springs, a huge city with a population of over 600,000 people with hotspot towers supposedly everywhere and coverage and finding hotspot connections should never be a problem!) and overall I thought there was something wrong with my phone and all of the times I was on chat with someone they just disappeared in the middle of our conversation. I never got a callback or a response from Xfinity in times of need, it truly is the worst phone service I have ever had or dealt with! Do not do not I repeat do not even consider switching because of their prices that are advertised it is not at all what you think it will be. I can say that I have not had a problem with their Internet service other than the fact they do not notify customers when there will be routine maintenance and Internet services will be down. So my phone issues never got resolved and never got the help I needed. They had sent me to the Apple store instead so I drove over 30 minutes away to the Apple store where they ran diagnostic tests on my phone and found no problems at all. So because of them not finding any issues they could not replace my phone under Apple‘s manufacture warranty so they sent me back to Xfinity saying it was a carrier related issue. So I went back to Xfinity and they said that I could pay a deductible through my insurance to get a new phone! I told them that I did not do anything to my phone so therefore I was not going to pay anything just to have a working phone that I pay almost $90 a month for between my $45 bill my $12 insurance and my $25 phone payment plus taxes and fees. This is ridiculous I am currently in the parking lot at Verizon about to make the switch! Hopefully this helps someone reconsider what they are possibly about to get themselves into with this terrible, unreliable company.

Xfinity Mobile is THE worst ever!

Not only would customer service not let me pay my bill when I switched over to a new service but they also sent me to collections for not paying that bill. They never tried to reach out via phone or letter or email. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY FOR A PHONE PLAN!!

WORST Company for Mobile Service

I had the worst experience I got charged $2,300 for 5 phone lines for a period of 4 weeks. The charges are roaming charges that I was not notified when I signed up for this service. I was not notified when I travelled to Mexico about the charges after my calls or while using data. Please stay away from this company. I feel robbed, this cost me more than my monthly mortgage. Its not worth it.

Worst company I ever dealt with

Do yourself a favor and go with ANY other mobile provider. After the circus act of even trying to obtain xfinity mobile they had the nerve to bill me a month and a half after their equipment was returned and service was canceled. Good luck with customer service which is out of the Philippine’s, need I say more?

Xfinity Mobile is JOKE!!!!

I switched to Xfinity Mobile for their low monthly pricing on their phone plans. But after switching my monthly bill has raised nearly twenty dollars in the first 3 months. I also didn't have a working voicemail for 4 plus months. I spent hours upon hours on the phone with their incompetent resolution repair team trying to resolve my voicemail issue. After 4 plus months they finally got my voicemail working. So I decided to put in a claim for credit for the 4 plus months my voicemail didn't work. After countless hours on the phone trying get a credit from customer service, they finally gave me a ten dollar credit for being without a working voicemail for over 4 months.🤭 Hilarious right!!!! Xfinity Mobile lures you away from your existing phone provider with low pricing then after you switch they raise your bill every month with outrageous hidden fees. Stay away from these SCAMMERS!!!!

Coverage was horrible!

Bought a phone through Xfinity. Every call was dropped unless I was in my house. It was like not having a phone. They would not unlock it for 60 days, even though I paid in full for the phone. So for 60 days, I had to get a second phone number so I had a working phone. Customer service was no service at all

Horrible experience with customer service

I have collectively spent 5 hours with customer service trying to return a phone they one of the sales associates talked me into getting by telling me a lie and having me use an old inactive number to get the deal associated with getting a new phone, me none the wiser fell for this and late realized what he did. So unprofessional and the customer service tells you something different every time you call them, they are completely incompetent and don’t note any of the 2 hour conversations they have with you, even the supervisor lied to me about the phone being picked up and after several calls it has still lot. No one knows what they are talking about there. RUN DONT WALK.

Absolutely horrible ..most incompetent competitive

Horrible it has taken 12 days to get my number and phone released so I can go to a reliable carrier I have been on phone for 6 hours on Christmas Eve to get it resolved and still nothing ...and when u finally get through to hey lie to you and give you the run around ..it has been nothing but trouble from start ...I will go out of my way to keep my friends and family from joining this disgraceful service

Confused, disingenuous

Offered plan for $80/month w/2 free phones. Then we moved. Argued having their cell service required either Comcast tv or internet, not available in area I moved, jacked up phone bill $50/month. Contract doesn't say that. They said I was told when I signed up - told them that verbal statements ( that may or may not have been made - they weren't made incidentally) are not part of contract. Paid off free phones, demanded unlock and porting number. Back to the big three. They're all liars cheaters and thieves

Our bill went from $47.01 to $92.99 same service!!

Customer service is garbage! They only give excuses to why our bill is so high. We never changed anything but our bill still is outrageous!

Horrible!!

I have been trying to return a phone since September. I have spent more than 4 hours on hold, been lied to that a RMA was issued, and billed, for months, for a service that was never started. I should have known better. This company has the *worst* customer service known to man. Xfinity, don’t try to put it on your customers if your employees don’t do their jobs. It is not your customers job to make sure your employees are doing theirs.

Coverage depends on your area; beware customer ser

I know Xfinity taps Verizon networks for service, which explains how they can possibly charge such a low price for their unlimited plans and still have "decent" coverage. I'd say though that coverage really depends on your area, so if you're in one that has poor Verizon service then you're straight outta luck and should definitely look for another provider. However, the main problem I've been having, and looking on their forum - it seems a bunch of other customers too, is I have not been able to receive SMS/texts. So anything with two-step verification doesn't work. I switched over from Verizon a month ago, so this is clearly not a device issue since I did not have this issue then. Also as a heads up, contacting customer service requires Buddha-level patience - not only are they understaffed but based on my experience with this one rep ("Michelle") they're also incredibly under-trained. My rep had the english-speaking ability and cognitive capacity of an 8 year old; she kept slurring her words and would forget details mentioned to her earlier in the call. She asked me to verify my CC details at the beginning and somewhere near the end... For those who are thinking this, unfortunately, I doubt Michelle was drunk. And FYI, by the end of the call, this issue with my texts still wasn't fixed. Overall, if you can afford to pay more than $70-80/month for a phone line and data, I'd consider using one of the big 3 mobile providers instead of xfinity mobile.

xfinity international wireless service is poor

wireless service was impossible to connect to in Italy. Could not access wifi, internet, email, text message, whatsapp. My brother had Tmobile and I had xfinity. His access worked , mine did not.

terrible customer service!

I have tried daily for 2 weeks to get my landline number ported to an Xfinity i phone i just bought. Nobody at Xfinity (even tier 3) knows how to do this properly! Every day I call and get an entirely new person at Xfinity, so I have to give them all the information all over again..and it still gets me nowhere! Today was another 5 hours on the phone with them, and it is STILL not done! At 12:30 Xfinity said they had submitted the request to port my number. At 1:47 I called the landline company and was told that there was no porting request on file. Xfinity tells me over and over that the problem is with the landline company. The landline company won't speak to me and says it is Xfinity's fault. I get the run-around with everything I try. This is an xfinity problem, but they don't know how to fix it. You can't talk to a manager or someone "higher up" in the ranks. Now again, I'm told to wait 3 days and "see what happens"! This is simply the poorest way to run a company that I have ever seen. Run-don't walk away from Xfinity if you ever request something (even simple) from them!!!

Meh

I like that I can switch my service so easily but the fact that they’re telling me it has taken almost A WEEK to get my SIM card, is beyond me. There’s no way I am able to get it either because it goes through fedex but there’s a place near me sooooo why is it getting shipped from BFE? Complete and utter waste of my time.
