Is Spectrum Mobile phone service any good?

Worst customer service. Mean employees. Bad service

Stay away from spectrum mobile

If I could have given zero stars, I would have. But then I would not be able to give my review. Do not do business with this company. When I received the phone, it was not what I wanted, so immediately canceled and sent phone back . Did not ever use the phone, I sent it back in same packaging that I received it in. I was charged for returning a damaged phone. It was in perfect condition when I returned it. Had Fed Ex rep even look at it before attaching return label. Now rep at Spectrum says phone had a chip in the screen. Said they had a picture of it. It is not the phone I sent back in unused perfect condition. What exactly are they trying to do here. After reading other reviews, this is their tactic to make money. They are "stealing" money from the consumer. I will not let this stand. I am not letting Spectrum "steal" from me. I repeat....do not do business with them. They will rip you off.

I was at our spectrum, local store, today,1/5/22

Today was the most respect, and wonderful customer support I've been given since we've switched to t mobile, about a year and a half ago from Verizon. The names of the t mobile representatives were, Gio and Cesar. They took their time and were of SOOOO much help in explaining to me what I needed to know, about my concerns and also showed me, step by step, what was being done. I had some serious issues with just trying to get directions home, on my phone, through the Google maps and was just sooo frustrated that as soon as I pulled into that palm coast location and told them I was upset they addressed my issues, called the higher up people right in front of me and completely fixed my phone, which needed a lot of fixing. Again! I am extremely grateful for these 2 young men, Cesar and Gio, and also the outcome of what Cesar did to reboot and fix my phone. Thank you gentlemen for all your help and for making me feel that I wasn't being a burden to you with my issues😃! Awesome help and service from these gentlemen and I've recommended t-mobile to ALL my family members and friends, especially after the help I was given with my phone and my concerns. God bless all and your loved ones ALWAYS! 🙏✌️❤😃

Do not switch to this company they stink

The only time they pick up the phone is when you are calling to make a purchase I had trouble activating my SIM card I called at 4:00 for assistance from then until 9:00 I was transferred from dept to dept & left on hold 5 hours straight & the SIM card is still not activated so now I have no cell phone. Choose any company other than Spectrum

Fast and Easy

Rep took about 15 minutes to set up 2 phones for me. Simple and easy so far no problems happy with the service.

Customer Service sucks!!!!!

I ordered four 13 Pro Max's over a month ago. I received confirmation emails about my order and return labels for sending in my current phones. After Christmas, I checked the order status and it had been canceled (no email about this!?!). Like others have said on the reviews, when I called in, they blamed the store, the store blamed someone else. I haven't heard anything regarding this back from Spectrum regarding my situation. Problem solved--I'm staying with my current provider.

Not a good experience so far.....

You get what you pay for. They have horrible sales service and do not disclose everything to you when they sell you the phone. For example......it is unlimited data.....but not really. After using a certain amount of data, it slows wayyyyyyy down and basically will not work for you. Plus, they resolve things and promise you stuff and do not deliver. Even if you demand to speak to a supervisor. Do not switch. It's not worth it. I'm going back to Verizon.

Don't get involved with this

It sucks

Crooks

Bought a phone iPhone 13 pro, 3 days after receiving it I sent it back because it wasn’t was I was expecting. I tried to do an exchange for the 13 pro max but wasn’t available at the time. So I did the return, as soon as I received the phone I put a screen protector and a case. Now that they received it they sent me some pictures showing a scratch screen and a broken back, the pictures shows a label showing the IMEI# but blurry also showing the phone dirty when I made sure that it was completely clean. I know that the phone of the pictures it’s not mine but got no way to prove it. They told me to claim to FedEx for delivery damages but don’t even show you the box to see if it was damaged during the delivery. I have read that some people claim the same situation meaning that they most be doing this on purpose. They showed you a damage phone that it’s not yours, take money out of your bank account claiming damages and then they can resell your phone and have gainings.

Customer service is HORRIBLE! Would give a zero!

No one knows what is going on and passes the buck to the next department. Each one tells you something different... from the SAME department. You can't call a store directly... it's a 800 where they KNOW nothing about the stores. They tell you, "Pop by the store". Never mind COVID.

Sucks

Michael off 66th st st pete took 5 hours of my life telling me my phone couldn't be transfered. First time said my wifi was broke. I got that phone for 900 bc the box was damaged. Returned it paid extra 400 for brand new version same issue. At one point deactivated my phone then handed me a number to call to activate it again yet I had no phone. Now I'm 5 hours deep extra 400 dollars spent I decide to go to a different store. 10 minutes later I have a working phone activated. I file a complaint and the rep calls me while I'm at gym. Starts defending Michael and arguing my own complaint to the point I hung up. Wouldn't listen and kept arguing. Worst company to ever do business with

Worst service ever!!!

Never get spectrum mobile service. I switched service on 3rd to different carrier and still have to pay full $45 for 2 days of service. They’ll rob you.

I was completely LIED TO BY 2 different reps!!!

The first rep promised a 40$ credit off my seconds mo bill switching to spectrum mobile with 3 lines.... I decided to do it today and was told all I would have to pay is $82 today then when the SIM cards come in and I activate i would pay $29 x 3. Later that day just hours later I was just charged $55.00 over and over and over !???????? And the rep said the first rep lied bc they don’t have or know anything about a $40 credit!!?? What is going on. This CANT BE LEGAL?!! I’ve now been on hold over an hour t

Horrible Customer Service

The sales guy who sold us our new phones really messed up our order and I was trying to pay all 3 new phones in full and get insurance on one of the phones. Plus he told me a different amount trade in for my phones. Plus when you call in, you wait forever. Not only did he not put the insurance on any of the phones, but he only processed a paid in full for one of my phones, plus the trade in amounts were way way way below what he said.

Still Charging Me for a Phone I Paid Off

Their plans rates are fairly cheap. You get (if I remember correctly) a $20 monthly discount if you have internet service through them. The plans are basic with no add-ons or "bells and whistle" features other mobile networks charge or offer - just a unlimited plan, pay by the gig plan, and the option to add protection service for your device. Supposedly they're running off the Verizon towers but I question that. I've been with Verizon and through them I had far better coverage and signal strength. But all that is besides the fact. When I first got service through Spectrum Mobile, I financed my Galaxy Note 10+ which added $45 more to my monthly plan, which is $65. Initially my monthly bill was $90 a month (because I had a internet account through Spectrum and so got $20 off every month). But I hit hard times financially and had to let the internet go, which resulting in loosing that $20 off. So now I'm paying $110 a month for the phone and the plan. Then I got the internet turned back on. Did or will they give me the $20 discount again on my mobile - no. Their reason is because my mobile account is not and cannot be linked to my new internet service. Unfortunately I couldn't just cancel the phone account and start anew off of the internet account because I was still making monthly payments on the phone. So I was stuck, to say the least. Then two months ago - I have just 2 payments left on the phone. But as fate would have it, a family medical emergency happen and I couldn't make a payment last month. Phone was disconnected due to nonpayment about 10 days after the due date. Then this month I got it turn back on. But I had to pay last month and this month's charges to get my phone restored. Sounded off being why do I have to pay for service I didn't even have? I mean, literally for the entire month of November I had no phone, so why must I back pay for that month? Knowing how Spectrum is - they're ALWAYS right and you're ALWAYS wrong, I just paid the double payment to get my service back on. So this means, technically speaking, I've made the 2 final payments on the phone - its paid off, so now I should be only charge just plan here on out, right? In Spectrum eyes, no. I just got my bill for next month and I'm STILL charged $110. I called them asking why am I being over charged of $45 and they said because of the phone. I stated that I made the two final payments when I made the recent double payment, not to mention even their own damn app says the phone is now paid in full. Then they said because I missed November payment. I said I paid November's payment along with December payment, the account should be current. Then the rep went back to the phone isn't paid off. I give up with these people. 🙄 I got bank statements to prove I doubled paid and I got their app saying the phone is paid up, heck I even got their email confirmation last payment on the phone and now I can trade it in to get a new one. But I canceling with Spectrum and I may even file a complaint with the BBB as well.

Very satisfied !!

I have been on Spectrum mobile for 2 years. I pay "by the gig" . I live in an apartment complex that has Spectrum wifi ( the price is included in my rent). My bill has always been $39/month until last month when my phone was paid off. My bill is now $14.00. I have never had a dropped call and customer service has always been helpful and polite. My wife will switch to Spectrum after January and we will both use the unlimited plan for $29.99/month. I am very satisfied with Spectrum mobile. I had one area where I didn't have reception and it was in the Smoky Mountains ( no one had reception).

I am elated with the service!

I had AT&T for 28 yrs and always struggled with service, didn’t want to continue paying outrageous prices for very service. Customer service was great and fixed the issue right away. I have more service now then on AT&T. I am never going back! And the price is right!!!

Will not go back

I tried the spectrum service and with WiFi calling I would still get break up or the phone will hang up on my calls. I could only make calls in my bedroom or one place in my kitchen near a window. I switched I went to verizion!!!! My phone has not dropped service in my apartment. Rude as hell customer service too.

All Kinds of Problems With Activation

We just switched to Spectrum from AT&T because I got a good deal. I got 2 new phones and had one previous phone transferred. It's been 3 days and I only have 1 of 3 phones activated. You have to do everything online, or over the phone, not in a store. The reps we called screwed up and put two phones under the same number. Oh hold times have been 45 minutes or more and we have been hung up on twice. Worst phone experience ever. Do not recommend.

Wifi is absolutely horrible!!!!!

Would be good if wifi wouldn't drop constantly.
