Is Spectrum Mobile phone service any good?

Sending the wrong phone and then charging me .

Charging me for a restocking fee. They sent me a cheap phone and charging me for a expensive one

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Called to pay off mobile device, have it unlocked and discontinue service. They paid off device but never discontinued service. Got a bill a month later. Spent over an hour on the phone trying to talk to someone to get it cancelled. Some people say it was cancelled don't know why I'm being billed, other departments said never cancelled been on the phone for an hour only to be transferred to another department who says they are the wrong department and need to transfer me again. And they HAVE NO address to write to. Interesting. So now I have to drive to the Spectrum store because apparently their customer service is worthless. Do not use their services or you will be very sorry.

They got the numbers switch on the two phones then

I shouldn't have to delete apps and change everything because they can't fix their mistakes.After being transferred to all the different departments it's just not worth the hassel.

Great Coverage

I brought By Own Phones (2) iPhone XS Max, Ported My Numbers Over From AT&T (2 lines) and the Port Process Was Instant and Painless!! (Spent 20 Min In The Spectrum Store Start To Finish) I have The Unlimited Plan And Coverage Is Amazing And the Data Speeds Are Fast!! I Really Love Having Mobile Hotspot and It Works Great Also! Overall I Highly Recommend Spectrum Mobile!! I am Saving Alot And I Have Much Better Service and Better Features Then My Past Provider!!

Still waiting on refund

Sent me a cheap phone was not what I paid for. Now 1 month later still waiting on refund.

Deceitful

Got phone, service, insurance & warranty at a Spectrum store while I had cable & internet. I canceled all sacs except phone & my increased $20! The phone insurance was cancelled somehow. Then the screen broke & I wanted it fixed. I called to use the warranty or the insurance and was told that I didn't have any insurance and the warranty had expired. I know I had Insurance because I agreed to $5 mo. for the insurance. I called several times for a resolution and instead received the runaround ...transferred to several people who knew nothing about anything. There were a couple of phone calls where I was on the phone for 3 hours or more. I called to either cancel the service or suspend the service until I could find a solution myself. I asked the rep if it would make a difference if I suspend it or cancel because I'm on a payment plan with my phone and he said it didn't matter if I suspended or cancel because the plan would continue as normal. That was two days ago. Today I got an email stating that the balance of the phone is due now and that the payment plan as normal has been cancelled because I no longer have service. I am highly upset because I made several attempts to resolve and had to deal with so many incompetent people. I will never get Spectrum service again because it's either purposeful deceitful or grave incompetence; both of which are horrible!!! I won't get a any of their services ever again!!

Incompetence

Ordered the Iphone 8, changed my mind before it arrived and upgraded to the Iphone 11 pro. That started a nightmare that is still going on. It took three weeks and hours on the phone to straighten out. They assigned a new phone number to the 11 pro because my ported number was assigned to the 8. After hours I thought it was resolved only to find out they have been billing me for months for the newly assigned number on the 8 which I never received or used. (several hundred dollars) still trying to get it back. Their favorite line after you spend forever on hold to get to a "customer service rep" is we can't do that, you need to call another dept. HORRIBLE company.....I used to think ATT was the worst but we have a new loser.

Customer service

The people who work at Spectrum know absolutely nothing about the services they offer nor do they know how to solve technical issues. Heck, they don't even know their own phone numbers! They gave me a number to call which told me to call another number which doesn't even work! One support agent tried to tell me that the "By the Gig" plan didn't pool data. Another support agent had no idea you could set the threshold of when you were notified that your data was low. BTW, if you get multiple phones, the system won't set that threshold properly...you must find it on your own and change it yourself. Their Hotspot software doesn't work with S10 phones and no one there can fix it or even understand what the problem is. It took 2 weeks to get tier 3 support to return my call. When they did, they only told me I had to reset my phone and then call back to another department if that didn't solve my issue. Once I did that, the other department said I had to wait for tier 3 support again. I give up.

Customer service and service reps have no clue

Worst choice ever, just waiting to pay off phones and go back to at&t or verizon, spectrummobile customer service is the worst

Restocking fee for replacing a defective phone

I bought a plan on may 28th they rented me a phone for a 1gig plan totalling 21.00 per month. On may 31 I take the phone in because it doesn't work right a customer support person I talked to told me the operating system was defective. The store told me it would cost a 50 dollar restocking fee for a replacement. I said what are you serious . This was after telling me I had 14 days to cancel no questions asked. How can you charge a customer 50 dollars to replace a defective phone. That's insane

they sent my son a phone that didnt work, they wanted him to pay for it and the replacement, they said they would refuse to take back first phone,they took 200.00 out of his account and he only made 300.00 so money for diapers and milk for the new set of twins, DO NOT get service with company, we are in a pandemic, not much money and they are doing people wrong, i will never have anything to do with this company

Their reps lie to make sales

I signed up because the phone the rep described had all the same features I use and the price was great. I got the phone and started set up and found that she lied. This provider started my service with a lie.

Spotty coverage and bad customer service.

I switched to SM, but had spotty coverage. They were not helpful when I tried to cancel and unlock my phone so I could use it elsewhere. Long hold times and hurdle after hurdle. Run away!!

Mobile Service

I switched over from ATT a month ago and it's been a nightmare ever since. First they sent me the wrong. I used the one they sent for a couple of day..Kept it inside a sock the whole it was in my pocket...Perfect when I sent it back...They said there were 3-4 mynute scratches. That you cant see by the naked eye. $350 is what came out of my account "that's there minimum charged" she actually said even if it was smashed it would be the same At worst you could change the screen for well less the $50.. So without any warning, In one of the worst times ever, when everyone is struggling to get food on the table. I got up Sat. morning to find they took out $350 which pretty much emptied our account...That's just the beginning. Bought the phone from them brand new...I found out that most of my calls were going straight to VM. They kept saying every time...That "this time it should work" Never did. Someone was suppose to call me today @ 3:00est......Never, so I called and they said there was no note about that.... and they typically don't call you back in this situation......One of many lies....They couldnt figure out why calls were going straight to VM and wouldn't allow me to get out until late June. Again they couldn't fix the problem. Finally they said they would prorate which they normally don't do. since they could't tell why my phone was not receiving calls she said $55 +/- I just got charge over $100 so I'm hoping I get the difference back..NOT!! IT was worth paying for the whole phone....to Unlock it....not good on the account but I can't afford to miss calls .I've never had worst mobile service!! We switched every thing over last month. when they came to install during COVID, they say all there techs are safe....I'm taking care of my 98 year old Grandfather. Tech had to make a makeshift mask, he didn't know he needed one..when they installed the home phone they knock out half the house with phone service...Did come back and fix No mask....The Apple box for one is too complicated for the older generation They knew about my situation That's minor...We have to reset the Apple box every other day....I will say in the past the internet service was good...Now even with a new router and computer...still runs SLOW... Friends don't let Friends use Sp"Rectrum"

They should to say on the tv advertising with BIG LETTERS that the service its only for spectrum customers with any of their services obviously they tried to sell more services and phones

Commercials claim Spectrum is growing faster than Verizon however spectrum is partnered with Verizon. Lol. All lies
