Is Spectrum Mobile phone service any good?

Cheap and awesome

My experience was Spectrum mobile is awesome I don't get dropped calls I can watch videos play games I'm loving it advise everybody to get it cuz I was paying $126 on my last phone service and now I pay 137 phone internet at home in cable I dropped my bill $100 so I'm loving it it's awesome

Horrible customers services stay away from spectru

Sales person put me a 14 a gig while a sign up for $45 unlimited a month, called to find out my bill was $195 for one months. I explain to the I am new and didnt sign to a gig the worse nightmare was when I asked for an supervisor told me nothing she can do. This worse phone customer service ever people stay away this people need more training

Customer Service was TERRIBLE.

The sales rep took my information, ss# and cc information and connected it to someone else's name. Granted it was the name of the homeowner/landlord who pays for internet for the building. All I gave was an address. I do not have access to the internet account info. I was told I didn't need it. When the phone arrived, I was told that the other landlady would have to authorize the activation. I had called SPECIFICALLY to ask about that and was told the accounts would be separate because, again, the sales rep just needed to confirm my address. The confirmation that came to my email had the wrong name but the phone was addressed to me when it arrived. I was not able to activate online. The first person I spoke to was rude and said I'd have to do it online or call from a different phone to activate. A friend lent mer her phone. After not being found in the system for quite awhile, it came out that the accounts were meshed together. I was given a major run around, I was so angry that I decided I didn't want to do business with Spectrum. After, I spoke to people who had decided to avoid Spectrum mobile just based on the run around they've gotten for their internet service. I really value great customer service. Spectrum does not care about their customers.

Everything...mostly the REAL cost.

Retired Army, living on fixed income. Unknown to me, though I am always on the internet unless I'm driving to the store (retired), my phone was ALWAYS using mobile data and it could not be turned off. Even though one of us NEVER uses the internet (she's 66 and you couldn't pay her to do facebook) she racked up 25 gb of data at $15.00 per gig...in one month. Same for me. A $400.00 plus bill later tried to talk to customer service and a very nice young man told me it was my fault. That's what happens when you don't sign up for unlimited. He said I had apps that were eating up my data. I only wanted 1 gig per month because we don't use it and there is no way my phone racked up that much data. Just not possible. Nor the other one. Almost a month of calling and trying to figure it out. When I logged on to my online account it did not show any data usage. I asked the fellow on the phone to email me a copy of what he was looking at and he said that he couldn't do that. Out of sheer frustration, I am terminating my Spectrum mobile. They have a monopoly on internet in my county or I would terminate my internet with them also. The service is slow, unreliable and pricey for the 2MB speed which barely allows you to stream prime. Lots of buffering. Was so hoping this would have been a money saver, but I should have known. Brighthouse was bad enough, now that Spectrum bought them, it's even worse.

Words can’t describe how bad they are

Worst company in 50 years I’ve dealt with. Spent hours on the phone went nowhere. Ripped us off.

They tell you lies and rip you off!!!!!

Thought I could save some money but switching for Verison, which we have had for a lot of years. Being on a fixed income (SS) you have to do this. Started with the salesman who pitched it well. He told me that my Samsung 6 was not compatible with the system even though they use Verison towers so I upgraded to an S8 and got it on a plan. Was told the wife's phone (iPhone 6) was good. All I have to do is got to Spectrum store and they would transfer all info to new phone. I received the phone a few days later, unpacked it played around with it for a bit. We went to the Spectrum store the next day after I activated it and was told that I would have to drive to the nearest Spectrum Mobil store to have info transferred and it was up in Los Angles, which is 2 hrs away. It seems they have a lot of Spectrum Stores here for TV, internet, etc. but none have been trained in servicing Spectrum Mobil customers yet. The first stores will be opened sometime in May! they then also informed me that my wife's phone would not be supported also, but they could sell me a new one for her. I left, went home and canceled my Spectrum mobile account. I followed the instructions on how to send back the phone in it's original packaging which I did, I used the return label and took it to a local FedEx mail office. I received an email several days later telling me they had received and that I would receive another email telling me of the status of my refund. Next email said the unit came back damaged and they charged my bank account $325 for the phone. The only way I know this is because I checked my checking account and saw this withdrawal. They did not even inform me of this!!!!! So after countless number of hours on the phone talking to customer services reps about getting my money back because they claim to have scratches on the phone it comes to this. I WAS TOLD I HAVE TO PUT A CLAIM TO FEDEX SAYING THEY DAMAGED THE PHONE AND I MIGHT GET SOMETHING BACK. THE PHONE HAS BEEN SENT BACK TO THE MAUNFACTUREER SO I CAN NOT GET THE PHONE BACK. IF i CAN GET A CLAIM FOR FEDEX, I AM OUT $325 DOLLARS!!!!!!! YOU WOULD THINK THAT A LARGE COMPANY LIKE SPECTRUM WOULD WANT TO APPEASE A LONG TERM CUSTOMER BUT NOOOOOO. HERE I GO ONTO THE SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITES.

Customer service is horrible!!!!!!!!!

They arent accommodating to their customers at all! One rep says one thing and the other says something totally different. No one knows wtf they are doing!

We've been with are cable company for years this is the worst experience I've ever had is with Spectrum mobile they made a mistake and refuse to refund on money

Best coverage, basically everywhere

Their internet is amazing and I decided to switch to spectrum mobile. Never had any problems of any kind with them. My cell phone has a coverage everywhere and anytime I am in an area with spectrum WiFi it directly connects me, and spectrum WiFi is everywhere in my area so what else can I ask for

Every call has terrible reception.

Every time I'm on the phone the person on the other end says ,"Hello, hello?? Are you there? I can't hear you. We have terrible reception." Then it almost always drops the call.

They to shut down Spectrum mobile they are rude

They want me to pay for a defective cellular, and charge me for 2 phones and they turn the service off on the one being paid and wanting $250 for the broke one and plus not allowing me to use the current one until I pay for both. Well they can and will not get another dime. I went to a call center and the people there said they had not idea of some of the answers to the question. SPECTRUM MOBILE are a ripe off. GO VERSION. BOOST ANY WHERE BUT THIS SORRY COMPANY

ALL IS BAD. Not good reception

I bought LG Black 16 GB phone from Spectrum at $179.00 insured and was charged $262 the first time( $58 monthly charge-$45 per line & taxes) plus $12 insurance & sim card). My phone screen display crashed when dropped and I returned it for them to fix it and I was charge $40 for restocking. I wanted my phone back and they kept it with the sim card containing my personal data. They returned me $104.39 plus $12. They are morons because I wanted to keep the phone. I am disputing the $58 because I used only for a week and it didn't work like they claimed good reception signal. They promised $20 discount for being Spectrum internet/voice/ TV customer and now they want to increase $20 more from $142 to $162 plus taxes. I don't think this an honest way to make business.

Great customer service!

I had a great introduction into spectrum mobiles world & I got helped by a representative by the name of Jordan & he told me about the "by the gig plan upgrade capabilities and told me about all the options. He even remembered my name & it's not a easy name to remember!! & He told me about every option that can help me & Spectrum has lots of options for good prices! He even stated he uses the same plan! Spectrum on the come up!

Worst.

Spectrum is a nightmares. They charged me 268 dollars base on the theory that I have used all my data, which is not true. Where ever I go I have WiFi access. Then, 11 days later they charge me 159 for the same reason, this case was worse than the first one, I turned off my cell data the same day I pay the 268 dollars they said I consume. The date I paid 268, I end up pay almost 300 dollars. Since I have two lines I upgraded one of them, so they charge me 31 dollars for the change plus 45 for the month ahead. This has being the worst choice ever.

bate and switch liars

I called to complain about my cable too expensive took away channels etc and was talked into bundling cell with cable thought great savings of 78.00/month right? wrong!! get my phones go through the growing pains of transfer hook up and down load the app and lo and behold they gave me a 1 gig plan but on phone sold me an unlimited plan, called they tossed me around from dept to dept and no one there will honor what they sold me and said there is nothing they can do... pissed is an understatement

Horrible, non-existent customer service!

Have been without a cell phone for 4 1/2 weeks, thanks to Spectrum Mobile. Lost phone, reported it, was sent a refurbished phone from their insurance company, Assurant. It could NOT be activated. 8 DAYS LATER, they finally sent another refurbished phone, which was also not able to be activated. VERY long story short, after over 30 HOURS on the phone with customer service with both Spectrum Mobile and Assurant, and finally having them agree to allow me to purchase a new phone from Spectrum, with Assurant reimbursing me, I still have no phone. That is because I have ordered 4 new phones from Spectrum in the last 1 1/2 weeks, and they have "lost" all four orders!! The only way I can get my reimbursement is to purchase from Spectrum! I am stuck. Horrible, Horrible experience!!!! PS: I have used Spectrum services for 22 years.

Customer service is the worst

Couldn’t make or receive phone calls kept getting the run around then when I canceled my service the finally wanted to contact me on how much for restocking also going to white glove the phones all so they can charge you full price when you return them

Their sales reps lied to me outright to get me to switch. Once we figured out the nature of their plan, we were stuck due to the cost of leaving.

So far so good

Just switched from AT&T to Spectrum Mobile. I was able to transfer my phone and number using iPhone 6S with no problem. Service has been good so far, with savings of ~$50/mo.

It is more painful than sticking needles in eyes.

Three times at store, three times NO ONE knows what they are talking about. I stayed with AT&t.
